The title pretty much says it all.
I was wondering what would happen to a software raid zfs array in freenas if the sata controller on the motherboard or an HBA the drives were connected to happened to fail.
Would it be as simple as replacing the HBA or the motherboard and everything will be fine as long as the boot drive is okay?
Or would data recovery professionals be the way to go?
I know dealing with hardware raid card failures is a huge pain, but is it the same for zfs?
