Question Fixed one thing, but does anyone know what would cause random dips in gpu usage? Cpu is only at 25% usage.

So, I recently went from an ultra-wide to a 4k monitor got it set up and went into a game FPS was around 180-200 till stuff started happening and it would tank, 40-60, noticed low graphics usage after a couple minutes of game play every time I restarted and tried it again. Updated GPU drivers and AMD chip set drivers, updated windows and tried again, same thing. I decided maybe it was time to DDU my graphics driver since I haven't done it in the two years or so since putting it together maybe something happened. I click restart with the shift button held, go through the prompts to restart in safe mode, PC boots and everything comes on but my screens, both are black saying no signal. I know start safe mode is "4" I hit it on my keyboard and it seems to load, still no signal. I try putting the HDMI from my second screen into the 4k, I tried just my second screen and also putting it in my motherboard to try the dedicated and not my GPU. Still nothing. After all that I wanted to see if it was just that one game and so far it seems to be though I haven't tested much other than Cyberpunk and Elden Ring and they don't seem to have problems like the other but I haven't put much time into that while typing this.

Specs-
AMD- 7800x3d
MSI 4080 Suprim
EVGA-1000w gold PSU
ASUS ROG Strix b650e-f MB
G.Skill Trident 32g ram (2x16)
OS is on a 1tb Samsung m.2

Any advice on what is up with the black screens and even just one game having low GPU usage would be appreciated. Also if anyone wants to know the game that's doing it. It's World of Tanks.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You can try and remove all GPU drivers(intel, AMD and Nvidia) in your OS, without getting into Safe Mode. By any chance are you using a riser cable for your GPU?
Thanks!
I was thinking about doing that but I know it's better/most information says to remove them in safe-mode with DDU. I'm not using a riser cable for my GPU.

Just a little added update. I used DDU out of safe mode temporarily got the same problem I had going into safe mode. Completely unplugged my main monitor and force shut down/restart and it's on my second monitor now. So one problem is fixed? Now just the one that started it all is left.
