I'm trying to add more ram to an Acer Aspire i7-2600. It has 4 sticks of 2gb ddr3 1333mhz ram.
If I add 1 stick of 8gb ddr3 ram to make it 8gb + 2gb + 2 gb + 2 gb (14 GB), would it work?
If it does work, could I add one stick of 8 gb ddr3, one stick of 4gb ddr3, and the remaining 2 x 2gb to make 16gb ram?

It might work, it might fail completely.

Mixing RAM sticks has a possibility of success between 0% and 100%.
