i dont know much about portable mp3 players but am looking to get one. Can anyone suggest one for under $200. I have an old PC(will be building one soon), so I don't know how much of an impact this will have on which one I should get. Thanks for any suggestions.

It depends on what kind of MP3 player you want. Do you want a portable jukebox that can store thousands of songs or a super light weight gadget with less power? Myself, I went for the latter and I got a Creative Labs Nomad MuVo 128MB for $131.00 at newegg. It holds about 30 MP3's, plays for around 12 hours on a single AAA battery, and it functions as a drive when plugged into the USB port. Also it's about the size of a pager.

Couldn't find an I-O Data HyperHyde anywhere, or I would have got one. If you can find it let me know, cuz I want one!

I was looking for a solid state lightweight MP3(not mp3/cd player) and have looked into the one you mentioned and it seems to be very recommended. I found it at Buy.com(free shipping) for $122, and I think I'll be picking it up. Thanks for the post.
