Fugger, if you have an artifical wormhole, I'd like to see it. :tongue: Theoretically, if you want to travel back in time, you have to create that worm hole at the point you want to get back to. Did you create an aritifical wormhole in your basement 8 months ago and didn't tell me? :wink:

He has an OCed P4 1.6A, like me. His is a bit higher though, I'm just a casual OCer.

I am a casual OCer. My 1.2 Tbird wouldn't even do 1.4 air-cooled, and I'm using the retail heatsink on my P4, no physical mods or anything. That's just casual overclocking, regardless of the %.

A 1.6a thats been cranked up to over 2.8Ghz and lots of benches at 2.72Ghz. Im just beyond the casual overclocker as I have a beefy heatsink (Swiftech MCX478) and a volt mod on my vcore. Thats it for additions and mods.

1100+ Mhz Overclock daily driver.

You are limited to what your mind can perceive.
 
And I thought you had done this with the Retail HSF, now your OC doesn't sound so amazing, since you're using the monster HSF...

A 75% overclock is pretty huge with air cooling.

Yes but with a downbinned processor that barely has any heat coming out of it, I'd say it's pretty normal to me. And I would think of FatBurger's try is much more daring and amazing than Fugger's ever will, considering both are 200MHZ apart or something. Fat could ever attempt to go higher, dare I say, but with short increments to insure the overclock stability. Besides that I have no respect for fugger anyway, which contributes partly to why I disagree with him.

ok fugger lets see if ive got this right. u have? had? a 1.7 p4 and a geforce3 and u claimed 7500 points on 3dmark2000? man that is a weak score!! i can get that with a duron 850!!

well that changes things a bit but its still a fairly weak score. my 1.2 athlon scored around that area so i dont see wat the fuss is about. anyway least i know wats going on now :smile:

That score was a lot harder to get with the pre-Detonator XP drivers!

all i can say is that this thread has given me a good laugh - and a little bit of education too.

How/where do I get 3dMark2001? i want to see how my set up compaires.
