I got 38 hours out of Exodus with the DLCs. I had to look since I thought that sounded low. I played most if not all the side quests though.

Yep. I thought Sam's Story was excellent. The Two Colonels was worth playing but I thought it was kind of repetitive. Loved Exodus overall.
Yeah I think I'm like halfway through The Two Colonels and feel exactly the same about it so far, not bad, but repetitive. I decided to go with it first because it's been a little while since I played the game, and had it uninstalled. So since that story takes place before the events of Exodus, I went with it first. I plan on even going through the base game again before playing Sam's Story, since that takes place after Exodus.

I kinda figured Sam's Story was the better one after looking at the trailers, but one thing I don't like about The Two Colonels is it has an excessive amount of long, unskippable cutscenes. Seems like even more than the base game in that regard.

I remember thinking Sam's Story was one of the better DLC's I'd played in a long time and that it was a very complementary to the base game. I played it first of the two. Just subjectively thinking back I'd give it like a 9/10 and the Two Colonels a 6/10.

Great, now I'll be anxious as heck to play it even while playing through the other stuff. I'll take anxiety over boredom anyway, as that's what I've been going through lately since there's not been a lot of games I've played so far this year, especially since COVID pushed things back.

Wow, this DLC update also allows me to play Metro Exodus on Ranger Hardcore. Started a new play through on RH Full Dive and it's quite challenging. Made it to the Aurora so far, but from here on out, it's going to get gritty. 😳

I finished Halo 2. I read about the cliffhanger ending and even though I knew, it still surprised me, lol. Onto Halo 3 next but I'm going to hold it off until I finish Desperados 3. I'm more than halfway in that game now and it's been wonderful. We get introduced to a new character a couple of missions ago and she is a witch that has bizarre but amazing moves. Levels are getting more difficult and I'm still taking at least 2 hours to finish each one.

I started Mad Max and want to play it to completion this time. About 6 hours in and I'm really liking the gameplay. Haven't felt repetitive so far but I can imagine it will in due time. Just a question to you guys who have played it - do you 100% every location when you go through the first time? I'm finding it hard to find all the scrap, insignia or project parts within a short amount of time. I try to find all but sometimes it takes too long and yesterday I couldn't find one of the last pieces of scrap although I practically scrounged through the base multiple times.

I don't think I found every last piece of stuff in the game but I got most of it. The only thing I didn't do were some of the races which just aren't as much fun to me. But that's true in almost any game I play. You'll have plenty of opportunities to go back to places.

Most of the time I would labor through finding all items to 100% each location first time through them. Occasionally I went back to finish a few. I did all the races too. I guess about the only thing I never worried about 100%ing was building all the Archangels, because I just didn't like the attributes of many of them. One thing I found interesting about the game was the underground locations, which make the game border on horror at times and gives it a whole new dimension. I also like how you can find out from scouts how to sneak into certain camps with heavy perimeter defenses.

I've finished Desperados 3. Aside from 2 missions which I felt had me at an unfair disadvantage, the levels were very well designed and had me engaged throughout. It was really fun coming up with the perfect attack to take down multiple enemies at the same time. I highly recommend this game even if RTS may not be your favorite genre.

I'm nearly 20 hours into Mad Max. I am starting to feel the repetitive aspect but it's still fun, surprisingly. I loathe the minefield missions since you have to be in a different car altogether. I just do them last just before I completely eliminate the threat from a region. Camps are still good but I've beaten 3 top dogs now and they are very unremarkable. They all have the same movesets, just more health buffed in them..
I can take on 4 star camps with not much problems but when I took on a 5 star camp, I got thrashed quick. I guess I need to level up some more.
I've completely eliminated threat from Jeet's territory and now almost finishing up with Gutgash's as well (just one region left).
My car is a mixed bag at the moment. It doesn't handle well, it can barely take a few hits from armored vehicles even though I've invested into armor. I keep forgetting to use thunderpoons but I guess the reason I don't use them during car fights is that it takes a lot of time to reload, and you can't use the regular harpoon either.

I used Thunderpoons a ton, but it DOES kinda make you feel overpowered on the road.

I've been waiting for a Fast N Furious game to be made for some time. They finally came out with one called Fast and Furious Crossroads, and it's even developed by Slightly Mad, whom made the Shift Unleashed and of course ProjectCARS games. It's getting really crappy reviews though, and some gameplay I've seen of it makes it obvious why.

It's really sad when great dev teams like Slightly Mad get acquired (under Codemasters now), and suddenly get roped into making cheap, crappy games. It's almost as if Codies are intentionally humiliating them for being solid competition to them when they were independent. I don't think I want to bite on this one.

I started playing the Sam's Story DLC from Metro Exodus, but have been tied up with sorting out other problems that arose at home for the last 9 days. I'm not sure what to think of it yet, but it has it's good spots and frustrating spots. I'm sure it will get better as things heat up though.

I just finished Mad Max. I honestly loved this game. Total playtime was around 31 hours. The V8 was awesome but it's such a shame that we only get it so late in the game. I must've only driven around with it for just an hour or so before the credits started rolling. Very disappointed about that. The car felt amazing to drive when I had gotten it too.

I brought down the threat in all the regions to 0 (Jeet, Gutgash, Pink Eye and Deep Friah). Story and characters were pretty much spot on to the universe. It was very well told IMO. I wish there was more to the story aspect as it was very entertaining. I wish there were more main story quests too because it felt short. Rest of the things you do took over most of the time played.

I had started Halo 3 last week. I've already reached halfway through the game. Levels are much shorter compared to CE or 2. Still fun though.

Yeah I didn't like having to wait near the end to get the V8 either, and it's hard to force yourself to leave a lot of camps incomplete when the stuff you collect from them can be used for upgrades.

What did you think of the storms? I thought they were amazing. The mission with the narrow gate you have to go through to get to the north in particular was a kind tough one to figure, as you can take a lot of damage from the storm.

Eventually I started loving storms though, and using them to get high value crates.

I did not have a single storm in my entire 31 hours of playtime. I'm not kidding. The only storm I got was in the tutorial where it was pretty much scripted. I've had a few warnings from Chum that a storm was approaching but never faced one at all. It's very weird. I think it was bugged because my button prompts were also bugged throughout the game. Sometimes showing the controller 'A' button from the Xbox, despite not having it connected to my PC, sometimes showing the wrong button, sometimes not showing anything at all.

Too bad you missed them, they really are the best effects in the game. It definitely makes you feel like not taking cover will have consequences.

Yesterday I realized I'd never played Dying Light with the Enhanced Edition free update, so I reinstalled the game and updated it. Everything looks better and the movement is also more fluid. Really nice improvements overall. It's amazing how little a file size this game is for how big the game world is and how good it looks. I had forgotten about the punishing resources loss when you die though, you really need to hit those sleep pads and save often to avoid that.

Oh did you play The Following expansion the first time? I loved Dying Light in general.

Love DL and expansions. Bozak Horde is really good too but found i had to be on a decent Legend level to beat it 🙂

Being playing Doom Eternal. Am aware of your tutorials FM good work. Finally bought the game after going half price lol.

Another game i recently got into was Portal Stories: Mel. 1&2 were great, had no idea this existed. Only took 5 years 😉

Man, this Portal Stories: Mel really delivers. Reminds me of how hard some of the puzzles in the first two games were, but they're employed a bit differently here. I was glad it played in 4K DSR no problem, and it looks pretty good too.

Up until now I've managed to figured things out, but am stuck at a part where you need another one of those cubes to weight a pressure pad that opens a door, but I can't figure out how to get the cube there.

Lately it's a series of trial and error, followed by relief that I finally figured out how to get myself to the next area, then this happens.

No spoilers please.

[EDITED]
Well, made it through that where's the cube beef part, and another one after it. It's getting interesting. Going to post a short vid, but I WILL warn of spoilers. I just want to know from anyone who's played it if the way I did it is the only way, but again, no spoilers please.

Courses should be linear i thought. Be interesting to see how you did it. I'm not far into it so hopefully it's still fresh in my mind.

Currently stuck on level st_a2_ramp - 3rd part of it.
Oh, I thought you completed it already. HowLongToBeat.com says it averages about 8 hours for players that have offered them feedback so far, but I'm sure most of that is trial and error attempts.

Anyway, here's that vid.

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHOM HAVEN'T PLAYED IT!!!
