"Actually I was going to say earlier I rather enjoy the unpredictability of the way the cubes are going to bounce off the blue gel. I counted like 7 bounces on the one that finally got where I needed it."
Where are you getting the names for each level? I see nothing at save points indicating them. I recall the first two had distinct level/room designations posted on the wall. I also seem to recall even the save system indicated which area it saved at. Here I see no such thing.Haha wont say anything about the crazy guy Just passed a3 faith fling paint.
Thanks, I was only using Continue, so I didn't see the level names on the Save Load screen. Very minimal UI in this game though.Level name should be described at the save loading screen.
I admit there were a couple of points in Mel where impatience got the better of me, and I had to find out online to see how to solve something.
Well, finished Firestorm. It was a long segment, but a bit simple once I realized what was right in front of me, like the way to get in that damned vent! LOL
Not too late to catch up Anort
And now I know what you meant by that. I should have known.Haha wont say anything about the crazy guy
Well, Ramp was fun I thought. It's the only level so far I've managed to captured pretty much every part of seamlessly and in fairly good time. I call it Slip Slidin Away. I know, a cheap Paul Simon reference, but appropriate given the obstacles.
SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHOM HAVEN'T PLAYED IT!!!
@ Gman, same boat I'm in. Haven't played any Portal games in years, am very rusty at it, and this one does indeed seem tough from the start. I'm at the "Concepts" level now, after finishing Firestorm, and all I can say is......it's back to the look of previous Portal levels with the same "Test Chamber" look using obstacles those games had by the look of it. So now I have to refresh my memory on how each of these obstacles works."
And now I know what you meant by that. I should have known.
Still have the final boss battles in Far Cry New Dawn, a State of Decay 2 playthrough, Shadow of the Tomb Raider which I paused about halfway through, Resident Evil 2/Biohazard playthrough which I also paused about halfway through and the ever continual Battletech Advanced 3062 mod I'm playing. Oh and I'm playing the Mass Effect Trilogy again before the remake releases. lol
The only boss I've been putting off lately is Medusa in AC Odyssey on the Nightmare run I left hanging at that point. I've beaten her on the difficulty just below that last play through, and have beaten pretty much everything else on Nightmare, save for a few extraneous undiscovered locations. I keep telling myself I have enough armor, weapons, engravings, cash to spend on upgrades, etc, to just go ahead and fight her, but every time I go back to the game, I find another excuse to just lull around 100%ing meaningless stuff. And this even after handily beating Doom Eternal on Nightmare. So what is it I ask about Medusa, that's so intimidating? Maybe it's the mechanics of the combat. She's one boss that helps to be good at the bow on, but I kinda suck at shooting the bow in this game, except Predator shots, and there's only certain places in that fight you can use those, and even then you have to be quick. No excuses man, no excuses 😂
Thanks, it took me quite a long time for Paint Fling though, and it was an at least 3 session slog. Yeah I'm expecting the next one to be extra hard because the aforementioned coms guy said something about there being one or two left. The dark look of it kinda reminded me how in Portal 1 you eventually escape the test chambers and have to get through the place behind the walls. Looks eerily dark and similar to that. Wonder if they're promising ice cream to go with the "cake" this time. LOLWell done. Think you've caught up to me. If it's the level im thinking of, good luck lol. Im stumped.
