No, I missed that one. I have it in my Steam library though. Maybe on PSN too. I'd have to check. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
You owe it to yourself if you enjoyed 4 even a teeny tiny bit to play NV. It's everything great about the franchise distilled to one game. Ironically, also the one in the series not made by Bethesda.

Playing the easiest Soulslike on the planet and people who like Soulslikes must be sadists. Steel Rising even ramped down just lacks fun for me. What I do like nearly universally about the types of games is the aesthetic and world designs.

That aside, I gave Atomic Heart another chance. Felt very shallow in terms of gameplay and no replay value. Also had to play with headphones so I wouldn't be questioned why a vending machine was s3xualizing my character. If you've played you know.

I think I mentioned Samurai Jack, that was a ton of fun.

Prey, which I didn't think I'd like is a great mystery action-shooter with mild jump scares until you learn to the mechanics.

Ghosts of Tsushims was technically and visually a treat though (and I'll never complain for a game having content), 100% it was fatiguing with not not enough variety but nevertheless recommended.

Rachet and Clank was a throwback to when games were games which was refreshing.

So I've been a busy bee but still working through my backlog. Not sure which will be next.

did actually get into Elden Ring again with the latest expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, with a fresh character and once again around half-way through the game i'm just getting bored with the gameplay.
think i just get tired of the grinding combat.

started playing Marvel's Spider Man Remastered again and the game is still pretty cool.
another one that just seems to get boring though after button mashing for a few hours.
i would like to keep it around and just play every so often, but the flow of the game is something that seems to take some getting used to so each time i go back it takes some time again to get into smooth gameplay.

a new Starfield expansion is supposed to be coming in September and am really looking forward to getting into it again.
also looking forward to playing Fallout: London. just giving it a few months to work out all of the problems i keep reading about and update the mod some more.
and waiting for the new Star Wars: Outlaws to be out for a bit and see how it goes with updates, etc. hoping to see it plays as good as it looks and get into that sometime.

I will totally agree this is a complaint I had too. My first playthrough was over 75 hours (including Iki). On one hand for a single player game thats incredible, but the non-Iki islands have a lot of similar content by the end. But its such a minor complaint.

I've given up on Starfield. What made it playable were the mods and when mods stop getting updated on Nexus Mods, it pretty much means it's abandon by the community. Many are outdated and break the game.

Fallout London is definitely on my list but I'm waiting for that to mature a bit.

Outlaws I've pretty much seen mostly negative YouTube reviews of it not being what it was implied to be. At this point I'm glad I cancelled the preorder. And it's Ubisoft, who knows if or when they will fix it. They never fixed Jedi Survivor soo yeahhh, those two Jedi games are great though.

I played way out of order. Got to Iki early, Ronin beat the hell out of me and thank F multiple save slots, I was pissed. I thought long journey meant the quest was long not that I'd be stuck there, especially without the right gear. But yeah , very long but overall I enjoyed it and have been waiting for a PC port since I saw it. I like that it wasn't just Dynasty Warriors smack around enemies but probably if one were to clarify it as such, the most Souls-LITE that exists. Smooth and responsive combat, doging and parrying with rewards for good stealth, kills and parrys.

Tried playing Sekiro after but hated it. Normal enemies were tolerable but the dodge felt clunky and no matter how far away I dodged id get hit, so Ghosts spoiled me with a very good combat system.

I just could NOT get into Elden Ring. The artistic style of the game just is not my thing. I also found the combat really delayed and I couldn't ever really get used to it. I much prefer the faster and more action oriented combat of GoT or Wukong. No matter how much I tried to force it with Elden Ring I couldnt get past the vibes and imo unbearably slow and delayed combat. Also even the UI is ugly. I definitely dont think its a bad game, its just not MY kind of game....the entire game is ugly. Sorry for the hot take. :D

Oh wow! I never realized that NV wasn't developed by Bethesda! And I have hundreds and hundreds (maybe even thousands) of hours logged on FO4. I even have NV on my steam account. I just got a PS5 and if my PC can't handle NV I'll just get it for PSN.

Do you think a mini PC based on a 6900hx with 680m iGPU could handle that game at a decent level of quality?

Either way, I have been wanting to try it out. I love the entire FO universe and lore. It would be nice to finally understand what the deal with the Enclave is. They got some pretty nice uniforms in 4. But I know nothing about them except there's a DLC sized mod on 4 that has some cool loot and stuff.

I think a potato would play NV on lower textures to be honest. I looked up your iGPU and its similar to an Intel Arc 380, so you'll be totally fine.

And if you really want to learn more about the Enclave I recommend FO3 more. I like NV and 4 more, but the Enclave is heavily involved throughout 3. Choices!

I played Fallout 3 on a 3570K with NO GPU. It lagged a bit in the final battle but it was playable.

NV is not much more demanding than 3, so... :)
I think you're good.

Also, yeah Fallout 3 is good. I didn't like that there were many unfinished side quests, and a few of the off the beaten track map locations didn't really reward exploration, but a lot of the game was damned cool.

Anyone who is a fan of Fallout 1 and 2 should check out UnderRail on Steam. It's a hard and quirky game but it has a cool optional leveling system that completely avoids grinding. Instead of grinding skills and kills for XP, you gain it by exploring and finding rare items.

That is cool because if you have a gang of mooks in the way, you don't have to fight them and loot their meagre possesions. If you bypass them, you're not leaving any XP on the table because they wouldn't give you any.

Right on, thanks for the info! I'm about to see if 3 and NV are in PS Plus. That would make it easy for me to get back into it. If not, I do have them both in my Steam Library. Just need to DL them. I'm DL'ing CP2077 right now to my PS5. So when it's done I can get in my PC and DL those two.

I've got all wifi 5 speeds here. And limited bandwidth. Can't do too much at the same time. Ugh... First world problems I tell ya... Jk jk...

I had the chance to try the early Total War masterpieces, for those years the graphics and mechanics are divine. From old games I can also mention Mafia, Half Life, simply the best games of their years. I also played a bit of The Witcher, but unfortunately not all the way through. The old Call of Duty with a great story in my childhood it was great.

There's so so so SO many games that are 15-20 years old by now that are still incredible. I could list off 100 probably if you gave me the time. Old computers are totally capable of providing a lot of fun still. I went a loooong time until I was able to build my new PC so I had plenty of opportunities to try them all.

Actually just last week I was playing star trek: final unity which game out on DOS in like 1993 lol.

Favorite games lately, where my latest purchases, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Borderlands 3, Starwars Outlaws.

Ain't getting very high fps on the two latest ones but least the games ran smooth with minor issues.
Ah yes, the fort sunrise mission comes to mind, only part of Startwars Outlaw that wasn't working right.
Beautiful games by the way, so much to tell or say about that, but best leave that so people can go see for them self's, I for one had a great time playing both new titles, and I'm sure to go and start fresh plays on either some time again.

Just one last thing I like to add which was a thought I had whilst playing these, those game engines Avatar & Starwars run on, are absolutely great!!!, sure hope we are going to see more of that in various other games in the future.

funny, i just reinstalled Borderlands 3 recently after a quite a few years.
noticed that in my Epic library it had been updated to the Director's Cut with all available DLC included and figured i'd give it a go again.
i normally don't enjoy simple shooters much, but with the variety of weapons and the crazy-*ss story & characters it definitely keeps me entertained more than usual and has a bit of RPG aspect to it to keep it interesting.

also have just reinstalled The Outer Worlds after The Spacer's Choice Edition content was added to that library.
also a fun shooter/RPG game.

still waiting to play Star Wars: Outlaws, but everything i've seen looks like an awesome game.
so many have talked crap about it being an Ubisoft game, but i've enjoyed many of their titles over the years and definitely looking forward to this one too.

I really have to recommend you save your money with Outlaws. Im not on the anti-Ubisoft train and all that. I just don't think its a good game. Very buggy, lot of cut corners. I love Star Wars so I did buy it but I got bored after like 15 hours and haven't played since. Was a big disappointment to me. Its just... empty. Its hard to describe. But theres no life to the games world. At no point did I get immersed in the game, it just felt robotic.

Started playing Vanguard Saga of Heros again, probably the only MMO that i actually really played a lot of. Was very sad when they shut it down.

There are a group of people making an Emulator for it since 2013 and have gotten pretty far with it, decided last night to download it and give it a go. Have been very pleased with it so far, although havent gotten that far in it, but giving back some good memories.

If anyone is interested here are the links to play and its all free.

Been Playing Risk of Rain 2, fun couch game. Enjoying that quite a bit.

Glad i canceled my Star Wars preorder. Haven't heard anything good and well, it's Ubisoft. Who knows if it will ever get fixed.

I have such a huge backlog but also want to replay games like Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor, Tinykin, among others. Going to be giving High on Life another chance.

I haven't turned my PC on in a few weeks so I don't remember what I have queued to be played next.
