I'm not even convinced what he's doing is possible without cheats. Not the difficulty of it mind you, but specifically the Blink meter. It's something that drains and has to be recharged, yet he repeatedly chains it together many times.

I've been playing some Counter-Strike lately. It's a great game, and it is fun for all play styles and for people who just want to play Case Opening Simulator 2015 or Gun-Shaped Barbie Simulator 2015.

As a producer, why would you ever make a Gun-Shaped Barbie Simulator game?

Metro 2033 Redux is completely screwed. I'm 5 hours in and it just started crashing to the desktop. I've tried every fix I can find on the internet and none of them work. Seems to be an Nvidia 9xx series issue so I'm just going to quit playing for now and hope Windows 10 fixes it. I forgot what a great game it is too and I was really enjoying it. 🙁 I've read that the Last Light Redux suffers from the same issues.

On another note I generally like scary games but Alien Isolation is going to give me a damn heart attack. Awesome game!

Still playing Telltale's Game of Thrones and really enjoying it as well.

I'm still playing the Witcher 3. I've put in about 50 hours now, I think (the in-game play time tracker got reset somehow, probably a bug, so I don't really know the exact play time) and I don't think i anywhere near to finishing this game!
That, and I do a lot of side quests and other misc activities around the map. I feel the impulse to do them all!

One thing I regret is not playing Gwent, which is a card mini-game within the Witcher 3. I only played the first tutorial section back in the first area of White Orchard. I couldn't even start the Gwent games later on, as it kept showing, 'You don't have enough Unit cards' or so. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. And I'm no good at card games. I lost the opening tutorial match itself !

Gwent was surprisingly a good card game in Witcher 3. Never expected to like it but ended up liking it.

Chamberlain: The gentleman will address the emperor only when asked to and using the appropriate title
Geralt: Your Archmagnificency
Chamberlain: I see the gentleman is in the mood for jests. I fear the emperor might not share his disposition
Chamberlain: "Your Majesty" will suffice. Spoken loudly, clearly and with respect
[Bow before His Imperial Majesty, The White Flame Dancing on the Graves of his Foes, Emphyr var Emreis!]

***Bow***

Geralt: Gwent, Play me.

Anyone played Remember Me? I picked it up in the sale and just played for the first time for about an hour. I have to say the cyberpunk setting and world detail are as good as any game I have ever played. Sort of Blade Runner meets Orwell's 1984. It really reminds me of the experience I had playing Bioshock for the first time. The actual combat is a bit repetitive so far but the story and graphics detail are great. I see it has a 65 Metacritic score but an 87% recommended rate with user reviews on Steam. I'm leaning towards the Steam rating so far. I picked this one up on a whim and I'm glad I did.

What OS are you playing it on? I had no such problems in W7, though on AMD (7970).

Just saw this on PCGamingWiki...

Yes, definitely an interesting and fairly original game. Has a bit of hitching in transition areas, and even sometimes in combat on my sys (with the drivers I was using then), but pretty good game overall. The combos were a bit daunting for me at first, but once I got a system going, I was fine. I tend to stick to short 3 strike combos for power, and no more than 5 strike combos for other purposes. The easier it is to remember which combos to use and how each combo is chained, the faster you can play. It does get a bit repetitive, but not in the typical button mash way that some fighter games do. They mix up the type of battles just enough, and give you the freedom of building your own combos, which keeps it interesting.

I may play through it again and see if the Cat 15.7 driver improves performance any. There are reports of it reducing microstutter and easing the load on the CPU. I've already seen a 5% Ave FPS gain and 17% Min FPS gain in GTA V.

The VSR feature is weird though. I was assuming it would only enhance the clarity at my display's max res of 1080p, but it's making the HUD and desktop fonts smaller when I select a higher res. It's as if I'm actually playing at a higher res.

I just hope my display doesn't have an aneurysm. :ouch:

I''m using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I saw that page. The fix you referenced seems to apply to crashes when loading a save. The game loads fine for me it just crashes randomly. It just started out of the blue in the level called Defense after I ( Artyom ) and some allies were overrun by mutants leaving me as the only survivor. That part went fine but it started crashing as I'm wandering through the burning station trying to find the radio to broadcast the tape the dying commander gives you. I've tried everything I can find and think of, even trying to run to the end of the level. That got me to another save point but that's as far as I can get. Really frustrating.

I'm still figuring out the combos in Remember Me. I really like it so far though. I'm a fan of just about any cyberpunk done right.

I haven't played anything using DSR yet which is Nvidia's version of AMD's VSR. I think I noticed South Park: The Stick Of Truth showing it as recommended in the Nvidia GeForce software though so I'll try it soon.

No the Metro 2033 issue seems to be all Nvidia 9xx cards and there aren't many older drivers for the 980 Ti since it's such a new card. I'll just give up on it for now and hope that Windows 10 fixes it. I don't mind playing it again.

Yeah check out Remember Me when you get a chance. Really a cool game.

Now that I recall I had one strange glitch that happened on more than one play through right at the part of Defense where you're battling the waves of mutants. It had to do with getting stuck somehow when using the scope, but I can't recall whether it stuck in scope view, or wouldn't fire or what. I always ended up reloading the checkpoint when it happened though.

Is your crashing btw related to mutants striking you or any other act of physics? If so, maybe try disabling PhysX if you're using it. I always position myself in the far right corner as you're facing the waves, and crouch behind a piece of wood there. I can usually get through it without getting hit and without any melee.

BTW, I found out AMD uses hardware VSR and Nvidia's DSR is software. That means if you don't have a powerful card, your res is limited. For instance with my 7970 I can only downscale from 1440p.

I tried reloading the checkpoint. I tried reloading the previous checkpoint. The crashes are completely random, not associated with mutant activity at all as far as I can tell. I've disabled PhysX, disabled SSAA, reduced the resolution to 1080p and tried about 10 fixes that worked for someone that I've found online. Nothing helps.

I got through the first waves just fine, the crashes start when it's just me wandering through the burning station with the mutants that come out of the holes.

Okay.

I did.
Combats are great, the story is good for such a genre,9/10 from me.

Have you tried verifying the game file cache? maybe some of the files are missing or corrupted.

Same here,but with Dota 2 & LoL.

It was only suspended via Steam sales. Other sites are still selling game keys for it. You just have to be careful which ones you trust, because Valve is actually blocking a lot of illegit keys, and it can even result in your account being banned from Steam.

Easy. After CS:S, the franchise was beginning to die, and a whole slew of things (like Nexon: Zombies) certainly weren't helping. Valve, in its infinite wisdom, observed that many TF2 players didn't really play for the game anymore. There was a HUGE increase in people just playing for hats and trading. Valve saw this and decided to capitalize off it after CS: GO's release. Good move, Gabe! Now, Steam users are wiring several 100 bucks at a time into their Steam accounts to buy skins off the community market, or to try their hands at Counter-Strike money roulette. Great business model, if you ask me. Valve skims 5% off every community market purchase, which ends up being a LOT of money!
