Here's an in depth analysis of Mafia III, including some interesting reveals about characters and a story tie-in to Mafia II. There's more here than meets the eye. Some have been claiming it has no business being called Mafia.

I finally finished the Witcher 3 a week ago. I think it took me about 80-90 hours. It is no doubt, one of the best games ever made.
My issues with movement being too slow and clunky was fixed with a patch, that enabled an alternative movement style. It was a vast improvement than the default mechanics.

If anyone was wondering, I got the best ending (at least in my opinion)
Spoilers!
Ciri becomes a Witcher. People might disagree that her being the empress is better, but for me, this one seemed the best. I reunited Geralt with Yen than with Triss, as I thought it'd be for the best.

I've seen K ENB. It looks amazing, but it's a bit too fantastic for me. I prefer a more realistic look and I know my fps will take a bit hit if I use K ENB. I like being able to keep 60+ fps in skyrim.

Anyone playing Blues and Bullets? It's an episodic (TWD priced) alternate history Ness/Capone noir driven story with a Sin City art style. It's already getting rave reviews on Steam.

I saw a review of it. I hear it's got a great story-line. I'm not really digging the entire monochrome presentation, but I suppose it'll change my mind and add to the atmosphere when I play it first hand.
And once again, it's episodic, so I'll be waiting till they've released all the episodes before I start playing this one.

Was thinking the same myself. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from Valve leaving us hanging on HL 2 episodes.

I played that game (Adventure Capitalist). Usually, I like those kind of games where you earn points/cash and upgrade stuff. But I immediately grew bored of this one. There was no motive for me to keep going. And there were no real visuals other than buttons and a gray background.

I just finished a 6 month stint playing 7 Days To Die, which in its current alpha state, is a hugely fun Zombie killer game. But currently "enjoying" Ark - Survival Evolved, which is all about taming dinosaurs, exploring caves, and smashing the crap out of your neighbours across the river, if you are a fan of PVP. Only problem with Ark is, the chronic lack of optimization, which destroys frame rates, and I am not being a 120hz elitist, I am being a real world complainer 😛

At the moment I've been playing a lot of Cities: Skylines and the Mass Effect series. I sometimes go back to playing Starcraft 2, The Sims 2 and Diablo 3.

Well, I've finally got my hands on Fallout: New Vegas. It's pretty good. I'm liking it so far. I've only completed the first city (Goodsprings) and now I'm wandering in the wasteland.

I've completed an old game, The secret of Monkey Island (remastered version), yesterday. It was really good. I love point and click games, though I found myself using the hints, A LOT, to get past some puzzles. Overall, it was a fun game and I'm thinking of playing the second installment, Le Chuck's revenge.

Currently I'm playing ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS... and DAMN! That game is CRAAAZYCRAZYCRAZY!! LOL..! 😀

But the game of the week for me is Rocket League. It's a drug for me, extremely fun! 😀

New Vegas is awesome. I'm just finishing up Fallout 3 again and it made me realize just how much bigger New Vegas is. Fallout 3 and all the DLC takes me a little over 60 hours and New Vegas with all the DLC is more like 90 hours.

Wow...I hope I can complete it by the end of October. I'm a little burnt out from open world games, especially after Witcher 3.
And right now, there seems to be more of those releasing this year! One at a time, I suppose..

I really wasn't sure I wouldn't burn out on Fallout 3 as I've played it probably 6 or 8 times although it has been a good 5 years since last time. I didn't though. I left a few places undiscovered but I did all the main quests and most of the side quests in about 50 hours. I could probably waste another 10 just looking around. I say 90 hours for a full NV playthrough and that is a full playthrough doing all the side quests and discovering everywhere on the whole map. My first NV playthrough was 41 hours but that was just mostly the main quests with a little poking around and no DLC at all.

I've only played through Fallout 3 once. In fact, I don't go for multiple playthroughs in most games these days. I tend to finish it near completely the first time around.

I used to replay a lot when I was a kid, mainly because I didn't have other games or internet back then.

Heh.

Morrowwind - 6-8 playthroughs

Oblivion - 6-8

Fallout 3 - 6-8

Half Life 2 - 6-8

Dragon Age Origins - 6-8

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 - 6 playthroughs

Edit: The first Far Cry - 5-6

You can get the rest from my Steam profile but those are the ones I've played the most times through. Those are only games with a definitive ending though 😛 I did play America's Army over 1000 hours back from about 2006-2009. I've got well over 600 hours in Civilization IV too. 300 hours in State of Decay. etc etc.

OMG! Those are some serious numbers.

The most I've ever replayed, I think, is Crysis (the first one from 2007). I think I've played it around 8 or 10 times. I recently played through it again after getting the 750Ti, because I wanted to max out the game. I waited so long for that moment and I wasn't disappointed. It's still one of the best looking games around and it was way ahead of it's time.

The most I've spent on a single playthrough has to be the Witcher 3. Around 80 or 90 hours. Other than that, I think it's Final Fantasy VII on PC (60+ hours) and Crisis Core on the PSP (70+ hours).

I put some serious playtime in the MechWarrior franchise back in the late 90s and early 2000s as well. MechWarrior 2,3,4 and the various Merc and expansions along with MechCommander killed some serious time on Windows 95 and 98/98 SE. I almost need to see if I can get them running again in an emulator or VM or something. Probably the 640 x 480 resolution of the day wouldn't scale too well at 2560 x 1440!
