Fallout 4...once you got past the need to kill the vsync, I then had endless issues with amd drivers...then the drops to 40fps as soon as a building/city emerged. Come on, it was all over the forums.

I did finally fix it by using the tweak launcher and killing shadows completely. But it was such a mess of a game considering it looked average. A lot of work for many people to get it work l, optimisation poor for the visual gains.

1440p? I remember getting maybe 80fps on ultra (except shadows) with my oc 390.

I played Fallout 4 with all settings at max including godrays. Averaged a little less than 60 FPS in most places but there were slowdowns in some areas where it would drop in the 40s. Usually outside in areas without buildings for me. I thought it looked pretty good visually. 980 Ti and 1440p.

Fallout 4 for me too dropped a lot in the cities. Indoors, it was at steady 60.

I've been playing Wolfenstein the new order as well. I think I'm nearly to the end of this game. It's really nice. I don't particularly like the stealth sections in this game as much though. It should just be a run and gun game. Story is nice too and the intro was the one that sold me.

The Old Blood is also surprisingly good. Just finished it and I liked it as much as The New Order. It's only about 9 hours vs 12 or so for the New Order though.

Finally completed Deus Ex Mankind Divided. The level design and detailing was great but the overall game design sucked. Too much resources scattered around level making some designs stupid and easy. Music and story was good enough.

Heavy story spoilers in spoiler. For anyone who completed it:
So Adam Jensen is a tool of the Illuminati to find Janus.
Any idea who Janus could be? I suspect it's Volkard Rand or Bob Page himself or an AI version controlled by one of them. Or could be anything.

Also is that woman in the train at the start of the game sleeping beside Jensen , Delara Auzenne? If that's true then she must be controlling Jensen's memories at will.
That woman with red hair(Madame photographe) keeping an eye on Jensen all the time was cool.

Also suspect that the pilot Elias Chikane is a mole, since he is the only one that knew you were going to GARM and alerted Marchenko. Again in GARM if you choose to contact Miller, Chikane will sound the alarm at GARM. There was also a mail that suggested his connection to illuminati.

Mafia 3. In spite of the graphical issues its reported to have with high end builds, I really enjoy the story line even though the missions are a tad repetitive.

I'm trying mafia 3 again..managed to lock at 50fps with no drops and its actually ok. I don't think the game itself is amazing, but quite enjoyable! It's no gta v even 2 years later, and its too easy to draw comparisons given the driving, shooting missions etc.

I just expected so much more

There is enough violence in the world without the majority of "modern" games adding to it! Also not being as young as most on here and not reacting quick enough, (Fingers not reacting as quick as the brain?) I stick to singer player games that involve planning and thinking ahead! Got hooked on the ANNO series. Then went to Banished! Now been playing Cities Skylines since it was released and finding new things in game all the time with the help of mods! I know - some will say I'm a miserable old fart!! But not all pc gamers are youngsters - yet we still get enjoyment (and some frustration at times) from playing . Whatever we play we all have our reasons and get satisfaction/enjoyment/frustration. GOOD GAMING TO ALL OF YOU!!!!

I'm a mere child at 42 :)

I can't think of any RTS games I've really liked either. I play pretty much everything else though.

Ding, ding, we have a winner here, a true senior!

Often I wonder lately how many more years I'll be gaming, like when I bought a 6TB HDD recently. I'm like, "Hmmm, how many years of games will this hold, enough to last me until I stop playing?"

I'm 20. I'm amazed you guys have this hobby and at such a great age. You guys are as old as my father( He's in his late 50s) but he never developed a passion for video games. I do wonder what made you guys develop a knack for it. I rarely see people at your age play or discuss video games.

You win!

I'll quit gaming when I can't see the screen anymore. And hopefully by then I can just plug my brain straight into the computer. 😉

As the younger of the old guys here I literally grew up with games and the first computers. I had Pong. I had an Atari 2600, a Nintendo, an Adam ( look that up 😛 ) and a SuperNintendo and then in 1996 I bought my first PC. I've been gaming on a PC since.

For me it was mostly that I had a lot of spare leisure time when it finally got to the point where my lower back injury became too problematic to mt bike anymore. That was about age 42, year 2000. I was a late bloomer with gaming, starting out with gems like Deus Ex, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Max Payne, and Red Faction. I was immediately hooked.

I'm over half of your age already and not planning on stopping until I reach at least your venerability.

After too long someone older than me finally joined my guild/clan thingy the other day.

There should be more people like you :)

I want to start with the worst online game I've ever played. Its No Man Sky. The nice pictures and the videos have led me to buy the online games. No Man is not an online game at all, because in an online game you should play with other players. In No Man this is not possible. The universe is too big to meet each other. My favourite online games are: Overwatch is one of the best shooter-rpg games I've ever played. This game is very tactical and teamwork is everything to win. I love it to play with the tanks reinhardt or winston. But in the moment for me is battlefield1 one of the best online games. I play battlefield1 currently every day. The game stands for perfect graphics and top maps and cool weapons.

I just want to play the game. If it hadn't been delayed it would have released this month I think. I don't care as long as it's good. No Dragon Age II please.

I'm just hoping they'll at least show us some gameplay by end of holiday season. It would behoove them to anyway, to try and get some people to save some cash for it.

It has the Mass Effect name on it. They could repackage ET for the Atari 2600, call it Mass Effect and I'd probably still preorder it.

For the gaming public in general though, after that disastrous ME3 ending debacle, many have also probably lost their faith in the series. You always have to stay competitive, especially when a new engine is being used.

Thus, I feel they can't take visual advertising for granted, and I don't mean these teasers that show pretty much nothing.

I never did understand that hate for the ending of 3. Now I bought the trilogy right when 3 released so the DLC 'fix' had already been released the first time I played it. I've never been disappointed with the available endings though. I always thought 3 was pretty amazing. Especially with all the DLC.
