IGN has shared a new video, showcasing the first 18 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming remake of Dead Space. Dead Space will be using the Frostbite Engine, and this video will give you a glimpse at its new graphics.

Dead Space will come out exclusively on current-gen platforms. Moreover, it will pack new gameplay content and improvements while staying faithful to the original game’s thrilling vision. Electronic Arts will release Dead Space Remake on January 27th, 2023. The publisher has also stated that the game won’t have any microtransactions.

Looks and feels almost the same as the original game.

Btw, I didn't know another STAR WARS game was in the making this early. STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor.

Electronic Arts has accidentally revealed the official PC system requirements for STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor via its Steam store page. Moreover, the publisher unveiled that the game will release on March 16th, 2023.

Apparently, though, someone at EA pressed the wrong button as this reveal was most likely planned for the
TGA 2022 event.

ABOUT THIS GAME:

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor™ picks up five years after the events of STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he continues to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.

Developed by the veteran team at Respawn Entertainment, Jedi: Survivor will expand upon iconic STAR WARS stories, worlds, and characters, and thrilling combat first experienced in Jedi: Fallen Order.

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is being built for the current generation of gaming hardware to create a deeper and more expansive STAR WARS experience for players worldwide when the game launches in 2023.

And it’s finally here. DUKE is back to kick some a**. :D

Mighty Foot Productions has just released the First Slice Version of the Duke Nukem Forever 2001 Restoration Project. The First Slice Version features the first chapter, which has 9 levels (and one secret level). Moreover, it has 12 unique weapons, a map editor, as well as a multiplayer/deathmatch mode.

For those unaware, Duke Nukem Forever Restoration Project is a restoration project for the
leaked 2001 version of Duke Nukem Forever. The team will attempt to recreate what 3D Realms showcased in its “fake” E3 2001 trailer.

Download this first version of DNF 2001 Restoration Project from here.

Another game which might be worth keeping a note on is ATOMIC HEART. This new video showcases some of the gameplay mechanics. Looks dope.

Atomic Heart is a first-person shooter with action role-playing elements. The combat in the game consists of shooting and slashing with improvised weapons. A wide variety of enemies are featured, which may be mechanical, biomechanical, biological, and some of which are airborne.

There is a crafting system where the weapons can be pieced together from metal parts that can be detached from robots or taken from household appliances. Weapons can also be upgraded via a mechanic called "casettes.” Ammo in the game is scarce, and there is a sneaking option. Quick-time events are also featured in the game.

Damn, I hate QTEs though.

Anyway, the player wears a special glove, the Polymer Glove, which grants him powers such as telekinesis, freezing, and electricity to defeat his foes. Its powers can be combined with both melee and ranged weapons.

Ammunition can also be upgraded with various elemental effects using canisters. These canisters can be looted and crafted, and then equipped by the player on both melee- and ranged weapons. If the canister depletes, it is discarded from the player's inventory.

Even though I have lost faith in ARKANE Studios, especially after DEATHLOOP, this upcoming FPS game looks kind of good. REDFALL.

Official game description:

"Redfall takes place on the titular fictional island in Massachusetts, United States, where a legion of vampires borne out of a science experiment gone wrong has blocked out the sun and cut off the population from the outside world.

Players will be able to pick their survivor from a team of four, each equipped with different weapons and abilities, and either tackle the vampires solo (in what would be a classic Arkane experience, according to the developers) or group up with friends."

IGN posted an article. Definitely worth reading. At IGN Fanfest 2023, Arkane Studios brought a new extended gameplay and world exploration trailer for Redfall, its upcoming open world first-person shooter with optional co-op for up to four players.

I'm kind of on the fence about this one MM, mainly because I worry it's more of an over the top arcade thrill ride for amusement, than a serious horror game.

Actually this game has been described more of an FPS, co-op action adventure title by developers. They haven't put emphasis on any Horror elements as such, since this is what it actually reads :

Redfall is an open-world, single player and co-op FPS from Arkane Austin,.

Well I know, and that's kind of my point, but typically I expect a game where you fight vampires to have at least SOME horror elements, but this one appears to be a bit of silliness instead.

Ah okay, I get your point now. I'm also not THAT much excited about this game, though I will definitely keep an eye on it, given it's my favorite FPS gaming genre, lol.

BTW, do you plan to play HOGWARTS Legacy anytime soon, assuming it's your type of game ?

Has anyone played The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind ? I haven't since I started playing RPGs only from OBLIVION and SKYRIM. Despite that never completed any of these games due to it's length. So many quests to complete, my GOD !

Also, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind still has few issues running on modern hardware/OS as well.

Thankfully, a new MOD is in the works, which aims to overhaul many features of this game. I don't have an original copy of Morrowind though, so I guess I need to buy the game IF I want to try this MOD. This mod adds countless new details, weapons, armors and much more for you to see and do. Basically, this is a must-have mod for those that want to replay this classic TES game.

The
installation instructions are very complicated though. This is the mod link:

Morrowind Rebirth 6.2 mod - Mod DB

"Morrowind Rebirth is a total overhaul for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with the aim to enhance the the game by rebuilding the world, by rebalancing most aspects of the game, and by improving the graphics. Rebirth is mainly aimed at returning players and veterans that have seen and done most things in-game, and want a fresh experience. New players are recommended to try the vanilla experience.

Morrowind Rebirth is the result of thousands of hours of modding, and is still a work in progress. For those of you who want more information about the specific changes in this modification please refer to the extensive readme, the features section and/or watch the videos down below for a general overview. Do note that some videos are fairly outdated."

A new gameplay video for Resident Evil 4 Remake has been released. I have not played the original game though.

Capcom has just released a brand new action-packed gameplay trailer for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Furthermore, the company revealed that it will release a special demo, though we don’t know yet whether this demo will be coming to PC.

Resident Evil 4 Remake will be a complete re-imagination of the 2005 game. The game’s storyline will be the same as the one from the original title. Thus, players can expect to be fighting the Ganados.

Capcom plans to release Resident Evil 4 Remake on March 24th, 2023. The game will also have Ray Tracing,. Furthermore, Capcom will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.

Easily for me: RPG's. I used to love MMORPG's, but now I prefer a Single Player experience:

MMO's:

WoW: Up Until Legion, then I went to classic as fast as it came out, then just recently quit, "for good" hehe.

ESO.

New World.

Right now those 3 are my favs. But there hasn't been one I hate, tbh.

Single player RPG: Goes, way back! First Zelda A Link To The Past.

Then the first one I beat: Zelda: Ocarina of Time. After that I went to the Diablo franchise on PC.

Now days:

AC Origins-Valhalla, are ok.

Witcher 3.

Dragons Dogma (tho I wish we'd get a proper 4k console port).

I also liked AC: Black Flag.

Nice game list. I have beaten AC: Black Flag twice. Another good game with a great story/setting. In fact in AC: Black Flag we can also use firearms just like AC 3, and that makes the combat more satisfying, at least for me.

Btw, if anyone is a fan of the Resident Evil series, then a new
Resident Evil 4 Remake is releasing out on March 24th. I have never played the original 2005 RE 4, though, so I might give this a try, if the reviews and feedback turns out to be good, and also if it is really a remake with major graphical overhaul, and not just a reskin of the original game.

Oddly, there is also a DEMO available right now on a different Steam page. Not sure why they call it a "Chainsaw" demo, but it appears to be the same demo for RE4 remake (maybe the player has only access to a chainsaw in this demo?).

Watched the videos, they look -- purely - amazing, at least to me. But....

RE series needs some serious work to win old - old - old school fans back - imo. I think graphically every game as of late is amazing (just purchased RE 3 remake on X/S verision) and playing 2/3 original then on regular xbox one, now Series, big differences all around. However the changes to the game aren't enough to make me fall in love again. That is mostly why I got them when on sale, only. As for number 4, it was imo the last "good" old school type one. Village, looks amazing again. But story wise could easily cut the Resident Evil name off, and no one would have noticed. For the most part.

Also one of other last classic good ones was Code Veronica. This is all my opinion obviously. Also the new movie got the tone right, but I prefer the MIlla Jovovich ones as they were classy action, and stayed R for violence/gore, to meet my needs, despise being stray from the game(s).

Oh and yes AC: Black Flag = amazing. Only complaint as someone who again, never got into the science fiction/ or w/e part of AC, is that. If it were the same Kennway story called Black Flag, without AC attached, I'd have given it over 10/10 stars. =)

All that said, I did like AC 1, but after that, with only 1 entry I felt the alternate story lacked.

Which one is the best RE game in this franchise ? I think it's RE 4 ?

I have only played RE:VILLAGE which came out in 2021, and since I was new to RE series, I was unable to beat the game since it was TOO tough for my skills, and I got almost lost in the gameplay with all those puzzles (super confusing for me).

I think previous RE games are more combat-oriented than Village, and I shouldn't have directly jumped onto RE: Village in the first place. But I have plans to play RE 2 and RE3 "Remake" though.

Both the original RE 2 and RE 3 titles got pretty good feedback from the community though, so I think the remakes are also going to be worth playing.

Are they actually releasing a second iteration/sequel of BULLETSTORM ? I really loved playing this FPS. Too much addictive and fun. It would be a blast if the Game Devs really have plans to make a sequel, "People Can Fly".

I know about system shock remake, and I'm looking forward to buy this game when it comes out in MAY this year. It was supposed to come out this March, but got delayed for some reason.

LOL, this news is really worth mentioning here, because it is controversial.

The Game Accused Of Plagiarizing Elden Ring Animations Responds (kotaku.com)

Bleak Faith: Forsaken accused of stealing animations from Elden Ring, developer responds (dsogaming.com)

From the looks of it, Epic Games cannot verify whether or not this pack features any stolen assets. This is hilarious, and sounds weird. Not only that, but Epic Games cannot make any guarantee to the purchasers of the content they are buying.

As Epic Games told Archangel Studios:

“Pursuant to the Marketplace Distribution Agreement, each Marketplace seller represents and warrants to Epic that they have appropriate rights to upload their content. As with any store that hosts third-party content, however, Epic is not in a position to independently verify such rights, and Epic makes no such guarantee to purchasers of the content.”

It’s obvious that Epic Games does not want to get involved in this mess. Instead of providing a solution, the team is simply trying to sweep it under the rug. For what it’s worth, Archangel Studios aims to replace some of the game’s animations.

Therefore, this should satisfy those that accused them of stealing them. Too much ADO for a game's animation !

It appears that Electronic Arts has released the official story trailer for its upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game, that is scheduled to launch on April 28th. The new trailer not only shows the story behind the new Star Wars game but also has some in-game parts.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a third-person, narrative-driven action-adventure game. The game takes place five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order.
