More of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN.....He has always been my idol and inspiration, after Randy Rhoads . I've met Yngwie personally on several occasions as well. Love these 2 Guitar shredders ! These two are my most favorite artists.

Like an ANGEL.?.....Yes indeed !!

I'd have to say Paul Gilbert and Guthrie Govan are mine.
Paul Gilbert looked up to Yngwie a lot, and wrote a duet with him called Viking Kong (which Yngwie ignored unfortunately) and it's fantastic.
Then Guthrie Govan is just the most skilled guitarist I have ever known, his ability to play anything, and everything, in any style, and flick between those styles in such a smooth way is just a skill only the best can achieve IMO.

I like classic rock, but i mostly listen to electronic music (which apparently seems quite rare here). My favorite sub genres are: House, Deep House, Future House, EDM, DNB, Trance, Trap.

Actually I listen to a lot of electronica. I've been working my way through Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance Classics series.

👍 Armin, one of the godfathers of trance.
I try to find as much new music as possible. The great thing about electronic is that a starting artist doesn't need tons worth of equipment to express themselves.
That of course translates into loads of great music getting released on a daily basis.

Aside from searching for new stuff i mostly follow Liquicity and Future House Music.
If you haven't already, i highly suggest listening to Liquicitys Yearmixes.

That's Floor Jansen. Nightwish's 3rd singer. She's the best by just about any way you'd compare them.

OK, LOL. Yeah, that's correct. I thought she was tarja, but nonetheless, Floor is also having powerful vocals though. Speaking of female vocals, I like Within Temptation band's vocalist, Sharon den Adel.

Linkin parks newer albums got more alternative rock (like the song linked above) and then popish.

Speaking of Linking park, I really like only their first 2 albums, Hybrid Theory, Meteora. Strong lyrics as well !

Currently camping-out on Imee Ooi's Sanskrit and Chineese interpretations. (Prajna Paramita Hrdaya Sutram gets semi-regular play time.)

Mostly eclectic in my tastes, though. If it sounds good to me--no matter what genre it is--I'll listen to it.

Then again, music is usually something of an episodic thing for me. I tend to prefer silence to filling the air up with sound.

Speaking of music. What headphones yall got?

That should be pretty obvious. :p

Out of my collection the Ebony TH-X00s are my favorite. It's the classic Fostex Biodynamic driver with an almost neutral tuning. Crazy extension on both ends with sub bass unlike I've ever heard in another headphone. But it's mostly neutral and it doesn't color the other frequencies. The mids have a liquid quality which is unique to the biodynamic driver. It's really a stellar headphone for any genre.

Do you play first person shooters? If so what do you recommend for a headset?

Ok so another question for the expert! My headphones are labeled as APTX low latency. Would this make them better for gaming? I dont notice latency difference when i use them wired or over bluetooth.

I am a gamer but I generally stick to single player. I don't really know much about gaming headsets. I do know headphones though.

I use my HD598s. My oldest headphone and my gateway to the higher end stuff. Soundstage and imaging are excellent and they're so comfortable I forget I'm wearing them. They need their 3rd set of pads. Amazon has had the HD599 for less than $150 recently and for that price that's what I'd recommend. They're just updated 598s with better bass extension and better build quality.

They also have the Game Zero and Game One based on the 558/598 and 598 closed back. They have the same drivers but are retuned a bit from what I've read.

Edit: Oh and I guess I should say an HD599 with an added modmic would be my recommendation. Great for gaming and music both.

The best ear of the youtube reviewers.

That just means they're compatible with the latest and greatest Bluetooth streaming standard.

You can frequently find good deals on Sennheiser cans through Massdrop. I have two pairs of Sennheiser HD650s as a result, one for regular listening, one for the big digital piano (a certain woman is not pleased if I decide to play the regular piano at three in the morning).

I mostly listen to classical music and my indie rock/indie folk tastes that overlap with the hipster crowd quite a bit (unfortunately).

The HD650 is lovely IF you amp it right with at least a watt of class A and / or OTL tube. BUT, it's not a classical music headphone. That lovely mid bass hump and those forward mids make it amazing for vocal centric rock but it's way too laid back for both metal and classical. The HD600 is what you'd want for classical. No coloration and no veil. Actually you'd really want the HD660S but I don't own that one yet so I'm going by reviews. I can say the HD650 ( and TH-X00 Mahogany since I got the Ebony ) are the least used of my collection.

Edit: Hell actually you can get a brand new Focal Elear for less than $500 now. It's an HD650 if the HD650 went Super Sayian. I paid almost $700 for mine used.
