Btw COLIF, I honestly like that second song from Chvrches. Kind of unique sound, not bad. Never heard of this Scottish band before though.

This one is a pretty good extreme METAL band from Liverpool, England. CARCASS. Genre: Grindcore (early circa); Melodic/Brutal Death Metal (later).

For those who don't know, Carcass is considered to be the major inspiration and musical foundation for most deathgrind/goregrind bands, as well as being one of the founding *fathers of melodic death metal *when they had switched their genre to the melodic death metal sound by the early '90s.

Pretty Heavy and Brutal 'Head banging' sound ! This band is very unique. The musicianship is also excellent.

Persistence of Time was the tour I saw them on, i liked it more than the older stuff but mainly as they released about 5 live albums to get out of a record contract, and hearing the same songs on every album made me hate the old songs from Spreading the Disease, I like State of Euphoria, I had a yellow t shirt from that album... long ago lost

actual video clip this time

I hope the new album is good, but I'm not keeping very high hopes. I didn't like this song though. It sounds like DT lost that original "progressive" Metal touch on it's recent albums. IMAGES and WORDS album still remains my favorite. Even Metropolis pt2, Black clouds and silver Linings are pretty damn good.

Black Clouds And Silver Linings can be considered an exception as it did away with some of the flab that made their past releases so sleep-inducing by bringing a bit of their Images & Words/Awake songwriting to the forefront, but still.

But I do like their self-titled 2013 album though, ""Dream Theater"". Technically it was great. It ticked all of the boxes. We can also hear some good riffs as well. This album has the heaviness of Train of Thought, an album that got many people I know personally into Dream Theater. However, having being a huge fan of DT for all of my life this album lacks the sparkle from previous albums. It hasn't got a character. The album was a mediocre and plain , but not that bad as their other albums.

This is some sick and twisted vocals and brutal Grindcore/Death Metal riffs ! I will talk about this band afterwards, NAPALM DEATH that is. Meanwhile listen to this brutal and extreme band, if it suits anyone's taste. I have seen them LIVE myself as well, almost 12 years old. They have played one of the most aggressive headbanging LIVE shows in the Metal underground scene.

But DEICIDE and OBITUARY bands are in the same league as well.
