Hello all
I have been facing an issue with my home network for a long time, I use a VPN named PIA (Private Internet Access) sometimes when I Disable my VPN my ethernet is automatically disabled, The internet Icon turns to the globe(showing Disable), and below the icon showing "No Internet". however, to turn back the Internet, I frequently Turn on the VPN again or restart my PC. Fortunately, when I search(During the Issue) or browse some things the net is properly working, But the notorious thing is why the ethernet icon turns to the globe(Disable) after turn off VPN and why it is showing "no Internet".

How do I get rid of this issue my colleagues ask, what are the problems but I do not have a satisfactory Answer.

I use PIA as well and have seen this. I just ignore it and it will eventually switch from the globe to the square box and says i have internet.

As long as you're not fulling dropping internet when disconnecting from the VPN i wouldnt worry about the icon saying you dont have internet.

Since your internet works without issues, i might leave it as is, if i were you.
What Windows build and version are you on? it could just be a bug, with windows or PIA.

I would also suspect that the VPN application is running in the background, and since VPNs use their own drivers as a 'virtual adapter' to simulate the virtual connection, I suspect the VPN app and service still runs in the background, thus causing this issue. Try killing the VPN app though task manager and see if its restored back to normal.
