[SOLVED] Where can I get Windows 7 ISO now in 2021?

Hello, Windows 7 download page at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-7 doesn't contain any download link any longer. Is there any way of downloading the official version from Microsoft. I have a product key, but no installation media. I don't want to download from any shady sites.

actually not anymore, according to the creator of the Heidoc.net Windows ISO downloader tool from this forum post. MS has pulled nearly all of the Win7 ISO downloads off their servers

Yes, unless you have been specifically authorized by Microsoft to distribute their content you may NOT post links to your copies.

Got it. If Microsoft has removed the download links there is nothing you can do.

no clue what that forum post is about but i just fired up the program i linked to and download 3 different versions of win 7 from it. all came from download.microsoft.com

they came in nice and fast at over 25 MB/s even

i guess if they "might" pull the isos from their server, it would be worth grabbing copies now of multiple versions just in case. that is if you think you might ever want to install it in the future. i got multiple back-ups myself of it raw, updated with all the updates and updated to install on new hardware. never can be too careful
