Where is the OC genie button on msi Z77a-g43?

Help! I cant find the OC genie 2 button on my motherboard. The logo is on the box, and there is even the logo on the specs part of the z77a g43 on the website, AND the OC GenieII writing on the mother board, but the actual button is nowhere to be found! I looked at pictures of the same motherboard, but the button does not apear on those either. The button usually apears next to the power and resset buttons on the motherboard, but those dont apear on my z77a-g43 either! please help!

There's not a physical button for it on the mobo. It's an option in the BIOS and the software that comes with the mobo (I think it has to be enabled in the BIOS first, before you can use it in the OS).

Besides that part, you should really just consider a manual OC. Auto OC's are rarely ideal and in some cases, flat out horrible. They do the job, but you can do MUCH better on your own, with much less voltage than a Auto OC will give you, almost definitely.

The OC genie thing didnt work completly (though it is enabled) so I took your advice on overclocking my self and did some research. I have a 2700k with liquid cooling and it normally runs stabilly at around 40 degrees celsius at its stock 3.5 GHZ. Being extremely cautious i gave it a small kick to 3.9ghz just to see what the temps and everything were at. I loaded up CPU-Z and it of course told me what my mother board told me when i overclocked: 3.9 GHZ ( or 3990.80 mhz. the last two digits fluctuate normally) but then i noticed under control panel, the page with your system rating, it says my cpu is i7 2700k @3.5 ghz. Is windows telling me the stock clock speed? Am i really running my cpu at 3.9 like cpu-z and my motherboard told me?
I re ran the windows assesment for my system as well. Still gives me 3.5 ghz.

Yeah, for Intel CPU's, Windows will always just tell you the stock clock speed. For example, as you can see, I'm at 4.5 on my 2500K, but Windows still tells me that it's 3.3. Everything else shows 4.5 though.

U need to OC your CPU through the BIOS.

^ Oh hell, if that's it, it DOES have one. I looked at pics without those arrows pointing to the parts of the mobo and I couldn't see it, but maybe it's there after all.

Eh, it doesn't even matter anyway, it's still better to OC manually.

Those buttons don't exist in those pics.
