Where should I place my RAM?

Hi guys.

I'm not sure where to place my Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB on my RAM slots on my motherboard.

I don't know either inserting it on the first dual slot or the second.

RAM-Empty - RAM-Empty

or

Empty-RAM - Empty-RAM

Have you checked your mobo manual? Typically, mobos are designed with this configuration: | | _ _ or _ _ | | to enable dual channel; however, your manual is the best place to check.

My Motherboard is the Asus P8P67 Pro.

The manual for your motherboard recommends DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2 for only 2 RAM sticks so 2nd and 4th slot assuming you motherboard is in the standard orientation.
