So I took the fan off the stock intel stock HSF and decided to zip tie it to something else (if needed). I'm having trouble OCing my e6750 to 3.5, at 3.4 I need a bump of voltage to my DDR2 800 Gskill and Corsair to get it to boot.

So if I put the fan on top of the RAM or NB can I bump up the voltage some more or is temp not the biggest problem when running higher voltages through these parts

well id say you would need a fan to cover both, but if you lower timeing on ram then you should easily be able to oc them to 500fsb, but you might be nb or cpu limited by then, there is only one way to find out.

Well I found out my OC troubles are caused by the fact I have 4 DIMMs and if I remove 2 of them I can easily get 3.5 with a slight voltage bump (maybe not even I just havent cared to try since I'd rather have 2gb extra then some cpu speed)
