I'm trying to look for a 1080 for $500-600 and I can't get any luck because they're either $1000+ or out of stock. So does anyone know a "secret" place where I can get regular priced GPUs (with free shipping of course)?

The secret place is called every hour. Retailer prices are pretty fluid regardless of mining. Toss that in and finding that rough in the diamond pricing becomes a challenge. Stock can come and go within an hour and prices change just as often. I was at Newegg where they were giving a $100 prepaid card with the Vive. Two hours later and it had been reduced to $30. Within the past 2 months I have seen the 1080 G1/ Windforce at $499 multiple times. I've seen that at B&H, Newegg and Amazon. I basically said...
wait and check prices from time to time. I saw transient price drop in 1070 ti ~$450 the other day. Also 1070ti OC can reach 1080 stock level, you may check that at the same time. Most of the time, newegg and B&H have lowest price.

I saw on Fry's Electronic's website the GTX 1080 I want is back in stock. I won't be on for a while so hopefully, it will be on stock by the time I get home. Also I rather OC the 1080. I shouldn't have announced this, now all the miners are gonna steal it.
Yeah I'm going to give up my chance to make money of the shortage and give it to you! Seriously, just wait until the mining craze goes down and BTC dies

I don't know man... I feel like this is going to be a long one.

Then you rather order it and ship it. At Fry'ses around me, top shelf of the GPU isle looks like a grocery store during hurricane season.

I have a 1080p 60Hz TV so I don't need this level of power. I do however have a Vive. I was told by Amazon that I could order that 1080 Ti now and it will be in stock on the 18Th at which point I expected them to ship it meaning I would receive it on or about the 20th. I received it on the 14th. Their availability alerts aren't exactly etched in stone. I purchased my card for $849. I think that's about $150 over the reference Ti's base price. It does include an integrated 120mm AIO liquid cooling system so that helped soften the blow of that price.

My 1070ti is OC'd to be close to an OC'd 1080 currently.
