Which 660 card to get?

I've been looking round for a replacement for my 5770 because I've recently upgraded the monitor from 1280x1024 to 1920x1200 and I've decided on a 660 (maybe the Ti version) which I believe should approximately double performance. I have an i5-2500K and 8GB RAM.

Any thoughts on which option to go for? I know the Ti version is slightly quicker, but is it worth spending the extra for something other than the cheapest card?

Well a couple things the Ti version is better than the non Ti. You will get a noticeably better performance improvement over the 2. But if your only using 1 monitor then I wouldnt recommend paying for that extra 1GB on the Ti version.

do you need it? I don't know. I haven't purchased or ran the 660 so I don't know if there are any memory bandwidth problems or not. That may be a problem when cranking up the goodies.???

somebody needs to give a reply if they own or used that card.

whatever you do......... $buy$......... use......... come back to this thread and reply with your opinion on it running at various settings and what games.

I have the card and I can play everything max settings fine, even running 3 monitors. Granted I dont use surround and only play on one dedicated screen. But the card is amazing and is defiantly worth the money.

GTX 660 Ti is better.
So if you have the Money get it.

I have a GTX 660, and its enough for 1080p.
But if you think that GTX 660Ti will be a better Choice, then get it.

For GTX 660, I'd suggest you MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr III
For GTX 660Ti, I'd suggest you MSI GTX 660Ti Power Edition

Thanks for the advice.

What I've realized since I posted is that there's one very significant difference between the cards - the Ti version needs two power connectors. Unfortunately my current PSU doesn't have two connectors so that mostly makes the decision for me as it effectively bumps up the cost of the Ti version.

The Ti only requires 150w so a molex to 6 pin is not going to be under any stress.

Can't say the same for your wallet though.
