Question Which CPU is warmer?

I thought Intel went back to solder on the 9th gen CPUs. Shouldn't they be cooler running than the 8th gen?
More cores, higher TDP, thicker die to prevent it from cracking from thermal cycling and uneven heating across the die, thicker STIM to reduce mechanical stresses across the larger die so it doesn't crack from thermal cycling, etc.

There is more to core temperatures than whether solder got used for die-to-IHS TIM.
