So going to be making a PC to play Borderlands 3, Minecraft, and doing my homework.

Got a pretty small budget.

Looking at the Sapphire Nitro 590 graphics card so just need to decide on a processor now.

From the picture you shared with us I would hands down go with the Ryzen 5. You get 2 more cores and 8 more threads. Slightly newer, and comparable performance to a i5 processor. And all this for a lot less money. Even if you were to get the i3, which is less money for the initial CPU, the board will be more expensive then a comparable B450/X470 board. Get the Ryzen 5, you will not be disappointed.

What about this?

Little over my budget but would probably be doable, has an i5...

Just not sure on intel, always gone with AMD...

That cooler would not be enough for the i5.

the 120 GB SSD will feel cramped after an OS install and a week of use...

I'd just ditch that and the 1 TB Seagate, and get a 1 TB Intel 660P M.2 NVME drive for $95 or so...

I always run my os on a separate drive hence the 120gb for OS ONLY, idk why just do...

Then got the SSHD 1tb for Borderlands 3 and my homework :)
