Which GTX (560v660) is better?

I was looking through the newegg deals, and apparently the GTX 660 is cheaper than my GTX 560 ti card I have now. Why is this?

I'm assuming the 660 is better than the 560ti, am I right? If so, I'm probably gonna spring for the 660 as I can run three monitors off it, unlike my 560.

The 660 is pretty much a 580, so yes it is much better. It's cheaper because it's the new generation. The cost to produce the 560 ti hasn't exactly gone down.

Oh...that makes me sad.
Is there a large difference between the fact the 560 is 256 bit 2GB, while the 660 is only 192 bit 2GB?

i believe 660 is not a significant upgrade from a 560 ti. i really suggest you wait it out for one more generation before upgrading to get your money's worth, just my honest opinion

ok i got it. the 660 is about 50% faster on average in most games.
but thats still not a significant improvement to recommend an upgrade.
waiting a few months would be a better bet

haha yup i had seen this video but just couldn't remember it. so yeah a 660 is pretty much double of a 560 ti.
but thats not what surprises me most.
what really surprises me is that 7770 comes out as the faster card than 560 ti in 3 out of 4 games which is shocking since there is no way a 7770 is faster than a 560 ti .
which leads me to believe that something is off in that test. the numbers seem to be all wrong to me

maybe it's physx ? ati doesn't render it........... still and all, the 560 was junk and now it shows even more..... ( i had at least 2 and they were the cards that were in and out of my hands the quickest.

no a 9800 surely doesn't beat a gtx 560 so put it in this way.

9800<560<660 660 would give a pure 50FPS in BF3 ULTRA 1920x1080 P no lagg at all what so ever
