Evga gtx 970 1216MHz Base Clock / 1367MHz Boost Clock
Phantom gtx 970 1152 MHz (base) / 1304 MHz (boost)
msi gtx 970 1140MHz Core (Boost Clock:1279MHz) (OC Mode)
Gigabyte GTX 970BASE: 1178 MHz / BOOST: 1329 MHz
ZOTAC GTX 970 omgega 1102 MHz (base) 1241 MHz (boost)
asus strix GPU Base Clock : 1114 MHz / 1253 MHz Boost clock

MSI Gaming is the best benchmarked one out there and I also like the Asus Strix, mainly because both of these have the Zero Spin fan which won't even spin up the fans until 50-60C so they run much quieter. I have the MSI and it rocks.

In all honesty they are all about the same and within a few FPS either way. I have the MSI overclocked to 980 stock speeds with zero voltage increase and 100% stability.

I love my Gigabyte 970... It boosts to 1392 out of the box by itself and is a massive over clocker. I very very rarely ever OC my video cards, but bumping the boost to 1500 and the max temp doesn't even change over where it was at stock. Should be able to OC more, but I don't really nave the need. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, would depend on your setup and how sensitive you are to noise. Many over at OCN complain it's too loud at idle, but others have no problem with it.

They all can get "noisy" under load. There are a tonne of reviews on the web with them at idle and under load with sound checks for them all. There are also a slew of benchmarks out there. Simply put they are all good cards, you might end up going with the one you can actually buy cause they are very popular and many are having problems buying ANY!

i have these options :
GeForce GTX970 MSI Gaming 4GB for 380.9182 EUR

ASUS STRIX GTX970 DC2OC 4GD5 for 403.4154 EUR

GAINWARD GeForce GTX970 for 342.5708 EUR

GAINWARD GTX970 Phantom for 370.6922 EUR

Gigabyte GTX970 WF3 for 393.7007 EUR

ZOTAC GTX970 for 373.2487 EUR

MSI gaming is the best of the bunch. Best overall benchmark and the zero fan spin like Asus has. Third choice would be the gigabyte. I own the MSI and it rocks. To be honest, performance wise you probably aren't going to be able to see a noticeable difference in any of these. I just like quiet and zero fan spin is great.

I've read good things about the MSI and Asus 970s and I've had experience with the Evga SC ACX 2.0. All of them would be a good choice although I would stick with Evga for their outstanding customer service.

I'm pretty sure the 970s are still utilizing the ACX1.0. Of their 7 versions, there are probably a couple that are now using 2.0. Question is... does 2.0 use more than 4 power phases (most other card makers are using 6), and are all of their heat pipes now touching the GPU?

I would personally recoomend the gigabyte g1 windforce, or even the non-g1. It's 20 dollars cheaper and basically the same card. They're oc'ing beasts and the temps stay within the low-mid 60 range. Relatively silent with solid aesthetics as well.

Only down side is that the cooling solution extends a good 2 inches beyond the card itself, so make sure you'll have enough clearance in your case.

Loud and ineffective? The ACX 2.0 cooler is loud and ineffective? I'd like to see one article that says this.

So is that a yes, that the issues with the early EVGA cards were corrected with the ACX 2.0 cards? How many power phases are the using?

I just ordered a EVGA SSC 970 and am a little concerned after reading this.

I was referring to EVGA's first launch of the 970s where the 1.0 cooler was used... You'll be able to find plenty of articles and reviews regarding the 1.0 cooler on the 970s about being loud and ineffective.

As for the 2.0 cards, clearly that has been fixed.

and what psu do i need for sli? i have now 650W 80 bronze and i could get Seasonic X-1250 127.8249 EUR

You don't need a 1200W PSU for SLI 970's. A quality 750W or 850W will run them just fine, as long as nothing else in your system is an extreme power hog.

Take a look at an EVGA G2 750W or 850W.
