Can anyone recommend any p67 or z68 motherboard that has 2x16 pci slots?

Reason is that i planned for an upgrade that is future-proof when i decide to xfire.

Or should i really wait for IB?

Thanks

I just wanted to say that Asus is making motherboards now with x16/x16/x8/x8 and suggesting people use the x8/x8 instead of the x16/x16 for 2 card setups.

They are doing this because it is actually faster a lot of the time.

Going through x8/x8 is the most direct path for data flow. Going through the NF200 chip that enables x16/x16 makes you go through point C on the way from point A to point B and many if not most of the time this makes the entire trip take longer.

Most of the games can't overload an x8/x8 worth of bandwidth. Only a few games can on ultra settings with ultra video cards can overload the x8/x8 and those games can bring even SLId high end cards to their knees regardless.

Most of the time, the difference between x8/x8 and x16/x16 will be within 1 or 2% (often with the x8/x8 being ahead), but in the very corner cases described above the x16/x16 will be ahead by about 7% FPS. The settings will be high enough that even high end video cards SLId are getting low FPS so the 7% difference would move you from like 35 to 37 or 38.

You will probably be ready to buy another motherboard before you overload the x8/x8.

I wouldn't pay a huge price premium to get x16/x16 if I were you unless you don't really care about bang for your buck.
