Hi, I am researching my gaming build and I need to pick a good graphics card. My budget for it is 300$ or less.

These are the graphics card that I've came across:

Radeon HD 7850 (was my first choice)

Radeon HD 7870 (the Gigabyte had high reviews on Newegg)

Radeon HD 6950 (the XFX Double D had high, positive reviews)

Geforce GTX 570 fermi (seemed to get high reviews)

Geforce GTX 660 ti (also seems pretty good, ratings-wise)

I am not trying to get a 680, wait, only if there is a sale for it during the holidays for like 350$. I really don't know if its worth it. I could be better off, feeling equally satisfied with a 250$-300$ video card.
Also, I am not trying to sli.
I will have a i5 3570k and a asus z77-v pro.

So which one do you think is better? Thanks.

yeah but you also need to consider the recent price cuts.. hd7870 can now be had for $250 which lends it a definitive edge over the gtx660.. also hd7870 i believe has a 256bit bus i believe which is superior to 192 bit on gtx660 when it comes to hi res gaming or multi monitor gaming.. on other hand the gtx660 is a great overclocker.. if you like overclocking you will find the gtx660 to be very attractive since you can easily overclock it to near gtx670 levels.. plus you get borderlands 2 for free.. so the final choice rests with you.. both are great cards

I find it funny when people say that the nvidia overclocking is much more attractive than the current gen amd overclocking when the 7xxx series was almost essentially labeled as the king of overclocking. (hence the ridiculously huge disparity difference between a reference 7970, a normal 7970, a oc 7970, a 7970 ghz and the ridiculously overpriced 7970 ghz toxic 6gb model.) this applies to the mostly the tahiti and picairn series of gpus.

I'm not looking to overclock too much. Maybe a little. I know all the cards I listed are really good cards, but I want to know which one is the best of all, most reliable. Maybe in the end, I will decide on my own when the deals come up. But for now, I want to know which one is better so I can do a look out on that one more.

I thought about getting the 660ti, but i waited a bit and saved up to get the 670 because one day you'll run into someone that has the 670 and you'll he/she will ask you what you have.
