Question Which Part is The Power Supply?

I'm trying to add a 2TB hard drive to my 1TB pc. I found a spot on the motherboard and now I have to find a spot on my power supply. The problem is that I don't know which part is the power supply. The power supplies I've seen look like fans and others look like bricks. So I'm wondering if anyone can identify the power supply in my HP Pavillion Desktop

No. You don't open that box. That box IS the power supply.

This looks like one of those proprietary +12V only PSU's. Which means you can't hook your drive's power connector directly to the PSU. The power connector for drives should be on the motherboard itself.

What model HP is this?

Ok. So that PC is highly proprietary and not meant for upgrading. There's only ONE SATA power connector on the board and it's located right next to where the SATA data cables plug in. If you don't have enough power connectors to support all of your drives, the only solution is to buy a (gulp) splitter, like this:
