Hi I currently have a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX (Dell) and it is Super Super Super! Loud anyways my Power Supply Is a Corsair CX430 (Great PSU) for the money. Anyways I'm looking at upgrading my Graphics Card. So I've done some research and I want to know of these 4 cards which I should get and is the best Bang for the Buck.

My Choices are:
Radeon HD 5770

Radeon HD 6770

Radeon HD 5850

Radeon HD 6850

All of those cards are basically the same just upgraded in the 6000 line. So which one should I get? I want to play STarcraft II, Diablo III, WOW, BattleField 3, League of Legends, and finally Skyrim :)

SO it has to play those games at mid-Ultra Settings. I'm gonna be shopping on Ebay for a used or new brand of each of those cards. And the power requirement of those 4 cards my Corsair CX430 can handle anything above that it can't handle.

So help me pick a good GPU :)

Solution

Thanx MMO Fan yah it is true I went to one forum asked the same question they replied i need a 750w corsair I was like Heck no!

So with that GPU this is my Complete Setup

Mobo: Asus M4A87TD Evo $52.20 (M Refurbished)
PSU: Corsair CX430 V2 $16.99 (NEW)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 $114.49 (N-OTHER)
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE $103.87 (NEW)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 250GB 7200.11 8mb FREE (USED)
Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 $44.99 (NEW)
RAM: G-skill Ripjaws 1333mhz PC3-10666 4gb (2gbx2) $24.99 (NEW)
DVD: DVD-RW Drive Pulled From a Dell XPS 710 FREE (USED)

CPU HSF: Cooler Master hyper 212+ $25.69 (NEW)

Also I'm putting 6 case fans and 2 CPU fans in my CM Elite 430

Total: $383.22 That is a REALLY REALLY budget build. Also my friend is giving me a Free Copy of Windows 7 ultimate 64Bit!!!

Tell me what you think of the build :)

My build is very very similar I need a copy of Window 7 though you build will be getting at worst smooth and at best even perfect gameplay in most games maxed out. The 6850 is a really underrated card it is a super value and really strong performer regardless of the cheap price and low power requirement plus they run very cool and quite. Long Live the AMD Dragon Platform FTW !

lol thanx MMO only trouble is I bid too much on radon HD 6850's Now i can get the same card new for 106$ 🙁 on eBay cause I won the auction... I have no use for another GPU!!!!! but since it's 106$ Should I get it upgrade my psu and run Crossfire??? XD :) that would be sweet.

that would truly be a high end gaming machine :) with two 6850's my price would only bump 106$ but then I would have to get a 80$ PSU 🙁

Both of them would be Sapphire same model so Xfire is a definite possibility what PSu should I upgrade too since I can get another Radeon HD 6850 for only 106$ I don't have any more money to spend... Although i could search on ebay for a new PSU :)

and that puts my price point at 489.22 which means I would have maybe 30$ to spend on a PSU. unless I sold my Cx430

So should I get the second 6850 GPU for very cheap then get a TX650?

Two of those will embarrass a GTX 580 Nvidia fan boys will claim microstuttering I claim there full of shi*

Solution

It will work just read up on the caveats that come with dual card configs if you understand them then go ahead my old CF rig was just awesome.

change of plans I'm getting a Visontek Radeon HD 6870 for 25$ Lightly used :) the guy was really nice because I'm14 and scraping for money :) :) :) :) SO I ask once again Will the Cx430 V2 100% power the HD 6870
