Which Radeon Card for Upgrade??

Hi I currently have a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX (Dell) and it is Super Super Super! Loud anyways my Power Supply Is a Corsair CX430 (Great PSU) for the money. Anyways I'm looking at upgrading my Graphics Card. So I've done some research and I want to know of these 4 cards which I should get and is the best Bang for the Buck.

My Choices are:
Radeon HD 5770

Radeon HD 6770

Radeon HD 5850

Radeon HD 6850


All of those cards are basically the same just upgraded in the 6000 line. So which one should I get? I want to play STarcraft II, Diablo III, WOW, BattleField 3, League of Legends, and finally Skyrim

SO it has to play those games at mid-Ultra Settings. I'm gonna be shopping on Ebay for a used or new brand of each of those cards. And the power requirement of those 4 cards my Corsair CX430 can handle anything above that it can't handle.

So help me pick a good GPU

6870 draws 151watts or 28 amps the Corsair CX 430 will power it no worries it is Johnny Guru recommended.

I don't think it can handle it, sure on paper it says so but I'd say 500+ would do it. Can anyone clarify that they have had a 430w work for a 6870 or something similar? What's the recommended PSU for a 6870?

Technically from what I read he only has the one cable, so at the moment it can't handle it lol.

I already stated that I am running a GTX 275 on a similar PSU cool master RX 420watt the Corsair is a better PSU. In the past I have run Crossfired Radeon HD 4890s on a TH certified 550watt Enermax PSU without problems.

Ya man the 6850 is the best bet great GPU and your PSU only has 1x 6+2 pin so it will keep it nice and clean and tidy.

$130 GPUs are not midrange, by definition... I don't know why you insist on arguing with me for no reason, especially when earlier you started arguing with me only to then later say the exact same thing that I said and which you first argued against... Do you own a 6850 and feel slighted by my comments or something?

Roughly speaking:
sub-$200 GPUs are low end
$200-350 GPUs are midrange
$350+ GPUs are high end

When you have a pricing structure that spans roughly $70-$500, that's how it works. You could break it into entry/low/mid/high/enthusiast if you want, but you get the idea. If you say that a $130 GPU is midrange, you then either have 90% of GPUs out there being "midrange" or you need to come up with about 5 categories of "high end".

@OP... I've had bad experiences in the past cheaping out on PSUs, so I'd recommend getting a nice 500-550W power supply, even if your current one may technically be capable. I have more experience with 650W+ models (which you don't need), but you could consult the list here:

Sorry man just don't want to spread misinformation around so as it is out of the 6xxx series cards the 69xx are the high end and the 68xx cards are mid range thats just the fact mate not bragging just sayin for to keep the information accurate on the forums.

Ya man the 6850 is the best bet great GPU and your PSU only has 1x 6+2 pin so it will keep it nice and clean and tidy.

Ya I agree and 127w won't eat up alot of power 😛 And my Bro has the 6850 and his is AWESOME!!! he has nearly the same specs as me. And yes inside the Cm elite 430 the 6850 will fit in nicely I'm going a rebel Black/Orange look with a little red mixed in. Minus Some blue Leds

Funny I got the same color scheme in mt Antec 100 case I spray painted the front bays orange as well as painted my PSY black with two racing orange strips kinda like the Antec 1200 PSU and then I sleeved the GPU PCI-E power cabled Orange and black alternating the to finished it all off I have two red LED 120mm fans in the front and two more red LED fans on the top 140mm and rear 120mm plus cold cathode red tub in the case. Now I just might upgrade here very soon to a 6850 cause they arnt getting any cheaper it should be good for my 1680x1050 monitor I hope and that XFX 6850 does look clean and sharp. Yes the 8800GTX does suck now in days it cant even max out MW2 LOL weak. That 6850 will seem like a gift from god in comparison the the old 8800GTX LOL

Then My CX430 is Black with Green Logo and sleeved Cables. And it all look really nice inside My case I Love it!!! oh and the Cm Hyper 212 plus is very lovely indeed It's just a nice silver Color and ym Ram is G-skill Ripjaws X so a little red to add to ym XFX 6850 I'll be getting I can post a pic if you like. but first I ahve to find ym Camera 😛

ROFL I totally Agree a gift from god. God Rains down Radeon HD 6850 GPUS??? SWEET!!!!!. lol Modern Warfare 2 is a high end game my 8800 GTX probably couldn't handle it 😛

No man MW2 is LOW LOW end requirements it is based off a very old PS2 COD engine that they just keep on reinventing. even a Radeon HD 5750 pretty much stays above 60fps when it is maxed out and my GTX 275 very rarely has a dip below 60fps but mostly in the 65 to 90fps range and that 6850 should be in the 100fps+ range.

OMG I just won a Sapphire Radeon HD on ebay New-other from some company. Anyways The Price is 104.50 and shipping 9.99 so total of 114.49 I got it basically 50$ cheaper for the exact same thing!!!

20$ used sorry and it looks like a decent cooler does anyone own one of these and does it have a loud cooler? So I have the option fo getting a 114$ Sapphire GPU new 100$ Sapphire GPu new (Both 6850's) and a Visiontek Radeon HD 6870 USEd with 1 day left on auction which one of these should I go for?
