How high should i try for a 800 Duron to go?

1000? 1100?

Im going to mod the bridges and i have a AUTO DETECT BIOS
So im going to overclock first by using the Multiplier and Voltage, then after that is stable
i will go for the Bus speed.

How high stable can a 800 Duron go?

1Ghz at least?

According to the database at www.overclocker.com, the average overclock of Durons 600 to 800 mhz has been below 1000 mhz. Of course, that is an average for people who have submitted information. Only the Duron 850's have averaged above 1000 mhz for overclocking.

Of course, you may have one of the exceptions.

My Duron 600 overclocks to 1007 mhz but I paid for a pretested CPU.

try increasing FSB (in steps of 2 MHz if the motherboard permits else forget it) , multiplier (in steps of 1) and voltage (insteps of 0.025 V only if instability is observed on changing either of the two - FSB and multiplier) in that order to get better results.

your duron 800 should easily work at 933 MHz just by switching FSB to 133 and multiplier to 7.

but better be sure to increase all the parameters gradually, and keep a close watch on the cpu temperature, never let it go beyond 50. if it does, improve the cooling and then proceed!

best of luck!
