[SOLVED] Why aren´t mouse and keyboard being recognized once I leave the BIOS menu? New computer

I just finished setting up my new computer build. After a few issues where I couldn´t get any visual displays or have the mouse and keyboard powered when plugged into the ports, I got those working. Now the computer boots up and seems to be able to get through the BIOS menu well enough. When I go to login, however, the mouse and keyboard stop being recognized though they still show as having power. Any clue why this would be?

Additional info: I am transferring my old hard drive to this computer with an OS already installed. When the computer turns on, it goes to the windows login screen, at which point I cannot use the keyboard or mouse.

Your "Additional info " explains it. Wrong USB or mouse/KB drivers most likely, see if you can boot in safe mode and than plug them in.
