Question Why won't PC start when the case button is pressed?

My PC won't start/boot up when I press the case button to start it, but my motherboard shows that at least some power is getting to it and it is "working". I know this because it is an ASUS TUF-Gaming x570-Plus which has the motherboard glow with LEDs. I had just installed a new SSD (Teampgroup T-Force) and changed the cables to my GPU (corsair to cablemod). I've reset the CMOS, tried a different PSU, cleaned, checked cable connections, unplugged all components from the PSU and motherboard that are not necessary for it to boot. It was working fine before I installed a new SSD and switched the cables.

PC parts:
ASUS AM4 TUF-Gaming X570-Plus motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 57003XD
Sapphire Radeon RX 7900XTX
Corsair RM1000e
32 Gb Corsair 3200 DDR4 RAM
Samsung M.2 1tb
Samsung SSD 1 tb
Seagate Barracuda 4 tb

-Thank you

If your computer case has an old fashioned Reset switch, use that.

If the wire has dropped off the back of the Power switch, you could solder it back on.

Alternatively, there are zillions of cheap switches on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress. Just find a switch that's the same shape as the one in your PC...

That would indicate you have standby power.

Did you wire the front panel header for the power button correctly? If so, try shorting the +ve and -ve pins/terminals for the power button header on the board, if that works, then the power button on your case is faulty/broken.

Speaking of cases, you forgot to mention the make and model of your case.

changed the cables to my GPU (corsair to cablemod).
Link to the cables?

Try shorting the pwr and ground pins on the motherboard front panel connector.
If that works, look to your front power switch and connection issues as your problem source.

If that does not work I would look to the replacement psu cables as the problem.

Shorting it worked! The case is a Musetex ATX PC Case-Glass side door Mid Tower Case(907-MS6), but since it looks like the wire is faulty is there anything I can do or just buy a new case?

And here are the cables I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GJPJYF5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I was thinking you might be able to do that and it worked! Thank you! I'll also look at the cables

Examine the wires from the switch to the front panel connector. One might have come loose.
If the switch or wire is defective, contact the case support people.
They may send you a free replacement or sell you one for a modest charge.
It looks like a proprietary design so finding a compatible replacement is not likely.
Try connecting the reset switch to the two pwr pins, and it will work just as well.
We rarely need the reset function.
Or, you can buy remote switches which you may actually prefer.
As an example:

I keep something similar in my pc building toolbox.
