Question Why X299 Model Motherboards Have No Video Outputs?

Hi there guys. I wanted to build a new pc for my music production studio and I wanted to use an i9 10980XE CPU. So I really don´t care about graphics, onboard would be totally fine. I searched all manufacturers you can think of, could not find a single one that offers a mobo with video outs, they should at least have 1 HDMI and 1 Displayport output.

Why they force you to buy a graphics card? It is like "oh if you wanna use this CPU, buy a graphics card, or F**** off!"

The CPU doesn't have an iGPU, none of that family do, so there's no need for ports. Just buy a cheap £40 card.

Oh I see, sorry for the noob question, didn´t realize the CPU had no integrated graphics. Ah cool, thanks for the tip.

just get a passively cooled PCI-E card, really cheap option, silent (which I assume is good for music prod)

Thanks for the sugestions. I liked quadro because it uses only 1 expansion slot and has four displayport outs.

I'm not up on the quadro naming conventions but it's running gddr3, which makes me think it's quite old

The P400 model has 2GB GDDR5 and has 3 displayport outs.

Just check driver availability and that your software is happy with it.
