Wierd Shutdown Noise

i jus bought a 1.5tb wd black drive and everytime i shutdown my computer it makes a engine noise for 1 sec then everything shutdowns...i didnt have any noise with my 1tb wd drives.. ran diagnostic and it pass the quick and extended scans.. should i be worried or does anyone know what the noise is?

Probably something to do with the moving of your drive, that is affected only when the platters are decelerating. I would back up any necessary data now to be safe and keep an eye on the problem for now. Are you sure the sound does not happen when starting up tue computer as well?

only on shutdown...i thought of that too so at startup i did listen to the drive and heard the typical yu should hear...only at shutdown it makes that noise...
