[citation][nom]pizzacheeks[/nom]I'm tired of people compare console to PC in terms of specs. Because consoles are locked down in terms of parts they can make games with better graphics on less powerful specs then for the PC.[/citation]

also remember that that gen of gpu also had a tessellation engine that never got used because of nvidia and their fit they threw to microsoft about not being ready for 10.

[citation][nom]Filiprino[/nom]You can try to write as many times as you want the word "heavier" and "much", but the reality is that the number of system calls made and the number of context changes does not affect that much, nor the drivers are performance hogs. Windows on the other hand with its Direct3D (Xbox 360 uses a derived API) may well be as Valve showed and now they will try to mitigate Direct3D lower performance.[/citation]
With the difference in speed between CPUs and RAM today, context switching is one of the most wasteful operations in computers. There's a reason why you want your loops without function-calls and with sequential data.

That said, I kinda agree with you. There is a limit to how much you can squeeze out of the consoles, the current ones met their limit about 3-4 years ago. Wii U should be quite a bit more powerful though, and I seriously doubt next-gen PS or XBox will be that much more powerful, if at all, especially when considering price point.
