So i currently have a gt 610 which is pretty bad for gaming. I thought it was time for an update so i'm thinking about buying a gtx 1050 but i'm not sure if my power supply if enough or if my cpu would work fine with it. I have a 300W Hp psu and for the cpu i have an i7-3770 and 8gb of ram .Is the power supply enough ? and is the cpu good or will it bottleneck the gtx 1050, and thanks !

Solution
I think it's going to be cutting it to close for comfort if you were to go with the GTX 1050. I think a better option would be the GT 1030 2gb as it's still going to be a massive improvement over that GT 610. As for your 3770/8gb of memory, it pairs fine with either the GT 1030 or GTX 1050 if your playing at 1080P.

So if i wanted to buy a gtx 1050 i should probably change the power supply to maybe a 400W one ?

I'd say around 200$ so i'm on a budget ahaha . Also is 400W enough ?
Min would be 450W for the RX 570 but this Seasonic EVO 620W is a good quality unit and plenty of power for this upgrade. You'd just need to make sure these parts would fit into the case.

That's a great deal actually ! Also one final thing. This is sort of a budget build so i'm trying to use everything that i currently have. Will the RX 750 fit inside a Hp pro 3500 case ?

Maybe, this is where you need to measure out the area by the PCIE slot (for the GPU) and measure the PSU to make sure that Seasonic fits.

Hopefully everything fits as that would be a huge upgrade for you. Looking at probably non playable games with your GT610 to those games on like med-high @60 FPS.

If the PSU is too big there are small form factor ones but they can be kind of pricey.
