Question Will a GTX 1650 work in an old Dell XPS 8500

My current gtx 660 is starting to clonk out. I cannot play any games for longer than 20 minutes without it overheating and getting black screen. I've been extensively researching new cards and am leaning towards a gtx 1650. I know that the 1060 and 1050 ti would work, but the price range (in Canada) is better with the 1650. I ideally would like a Radeon Rx 570 but it seems that may be incompatible. Any help would be appreciated!

My computer is a Dell XPS 8500.

Yes, I think the GTX 1650 will also work on this OEM PC from DELL. Since you are already using the GTX 660, then there shouldn't be any issues using the 1650 as well, IMO.

I see no reason it wouldn't work, it's the fastest card you can get that is available in models that don't need a pci-ex power supply connector. It should get you close to, or over, 60 fps in most situations unless your CPU holds it back, which I doubt will happen. Unless you have a specific reason, like inadequate power, I wouldn't rule out the 570. If it were my choice I wouldn't pay extra for a 570, since I consider the 1650 to be 'good enough' but depending on the price difference it might be worth it to you. This is especially true if you can get an 8gb 570.

edit: I'm assuming a 570 means you'll need to upgrade your power supply too, which adds to the cost.
