Will a sata2 hard drive work in a HP G71-340us?

Will a sata2 hard drive work in a HP G71-340us?
Im running on a Sata1 hard drive now 360GB. Looking on ebay for a new hard drive I see all these Sata2 hard drives, I need a 750GB Sata hard drive.
Will the Sata2 work, just to shorten everything up?

SATA 2 drives are backward compatible with SATA 1. They will just run at SATA 1 speed.
