Hello,

This may have been posted before but then again I can't keep up with the rate of posting here (being lost in the other other nether regions) and the search option didn't really deliver either (which may indicate more on my searching skills than its capabilities).

I have just bought a A8N-SLI mobo and I was wondering whether anyone knows if it will support dual core AMD cpu's when they arrive? Already read that there will be S939 dual cores out, but I was wondering if they will be fully compatible with the other chipsets on the mobo (or is this a real n00b question, just say so  )?

Current s939 mobos will support dual core CPUs with aBIOS update. AMD will be going to a new socket next year, M2, that will supposedly have 940 pins - at least that is what the rumor mill is saying. CPUs made for the new socket will not be compatible with current 939 mobos. Just be aware of that for future reference.

Did somebody say something different today?
