Hey guys i'm upgrading my card from a 760 (2gb) to a 970 (4gb). I'm worried that I would not have enough power to run it and if I did would I be able to add a extra 8gb (RAM). 600w corsair power supply

Solution
Maybe I missed it but you have everything listed but the one item that will tell us if your system can handle the new card, the power supply. If it's a good quality 500w or better you should be okay.

The 900 series has pretty good power management and draws a relatively low amount of wattage. If you are currently running a 760, chances are you should be fine to upgrade both your GPU to a 970 along with upgrade the RAM to 8GB.
Would help to know what PSU you have though.
