I just given a new 600w power supply, now this power supply is semi-modular, and came with it's own PSU-GPU cables, however, the design is very unique unfortunately, because although it has 2x 6+2 pins, in the 6 pins, one is missing, which would be the "Sense A" pin(look at image below), after some investigation, I was found out that some pins will be design that way and it's normal, however further into investigation, I found that a GPU will not function if there is no "Sense" pin, Sense pins are important to moderate voltage, and if there is non, it can't function.
Now for context, I have an MSI AMD HD 7790, and this GPU requires a 6 pin connector, leaving the +2 pin cut out which included Ground + Sense B pins, when I tried to put it to work, the computer wouldn't even detected it, even though the fan was spinning, (which led me to this whole investigation), so because it wouldn't work, I had to revert to my old PSU (300w), which had every pin needed.
Now for the main issue, I have an RX 5700 XT coming soon, and this GPU requires 8 + 6 pins, since one of the connectors will require an 8 pin, (which includes a sensory pin) I want to know if this GPU will be able to run whilst including only a single sensory pin?
