Hello,

I will try to explain this as cleanly as I can and hopefully give enough details. I am working on upgrading my existing PC. I am upgrading the motherboard, CPU and ram.

I am using a fully modular EVGA Supernova 750 G3 80 Plus Gold, and my new motherboard is a ROG Strix B650E-F mother board. The issue I'm having is that my new motherboard uses one 8 pin or an 8 + 4 pin to run; however, the PSU only brings two 4+4 pin CPU cables.

My question and concern is, can I used one full 4+4 pin cable in the motherboard 8 pin slot, or will it cause an issue because of the shape of the pins? I will post a picture of the motherboard pin slot and one of the two PSU cables.

I think you'll be fine, from what I've read it looks like you can use ATX_12V_1 (single 12V) for most CPUs, *OR* ATX_12V_2 (dual 12v) for the more power hungry / or overclocked CPUs.
Ok thank you, I wad mostly just worried since the motherboard connector has the shapes in a certain order and the two 4+4 have a different shape order that it might fry the board, I will try plugging in later today
