[SOLVED] Will power line adapters work for me?

I currently live in a fraternity house that is 3 stories and very large about 25 rooms between 2 floors. I am on the third floor and the router is on the first. When I run a speed test I am getting high upload and download and the ping is usually pretty good but doesn’t translate when playing games. I am currently using a WiFi adapter plugged into a pci express slot and was thinking about converting to power line adapters to improve connection. I have heard large houses and increased distance can severely affect connection for power line adapters. Was wondering if anyone thought it would be an effective solution. Thank you.
