I will try to clarify some.
All b360 motherboards have a ram speed cap at 2666mhz, so suggesting a 3200mhz or 3000mhz kit doesnt make sense if it will only be capable of running at 2666mhz. Also, Intel does not require high-frequency ram for close to optimal performance, so your 2400mhz dual channel kit is adequate.
16gb is the sweet spot for games currently. Upgrading to 32gb is unlikely to provide any benefit at all unless you are running several background applications while gaming. Also, since your motherboard has 2 ram slots, upgrading to 32gb would mean removing your current ram and buying a new expensive 32gb kit.
From reading this whole board and reviews, it seems that the whole CPU thing is for 1080p online players, which I am not
Not true. With a high-end 2080 super, even at 1440p, a weaker CPU can cause issues.
I reccomend you turn down graphics settings. If your FPS goes up significantly, you are GPU bound and ram or CPU upgrade may not improve overall FPS.
If you dont see a lot of FPS increase from turning down settings, you are CPU bound and need a CPU upgrade.
