Right now I have the TT Toughpower GX3 600w, and I was planning on getting the TT Toughpower G3 850w for an RX 7900 GRE (which I also don't have yet). I was planning on getting the case first because I was more sure about it than the PSU or the GPU.

600w is inadequate. You'll definitely need the stronger PSU with the intended GPU.
