My current config. Is

intel dual core e2180 @2.0GHz

zebronics nvidia nf-7050 motherboard

nvidia geforce 7050 / nforce 610i 256mb onboard graphics

zeb-450w(20+4pin) PSU - 20A @ +12V rail

1GB DDR2 RAM

WINXP - SP3 - 32bit

i'd be upgrading to

powercolor hd5670 1gb ddr3

2gb more ram

windows 7 ultimate 32bit

i'm worried that my motherboard is like, 4 to 5 years old, and i can't buy a new motherboard.. Only a new gpu and some more ram..

I'm asking that the ati hd5670 which is having '2.1x16 pci support' in its specs , will it support the 1x16 slot in my motherboard or not? And i want to play latest games at mid settings with res. 1280x720 or 1366x768? Will it give that performance...? Please any expert on this site reply and tell me.. I'm really confused as i m gonna order that gpu online..!! And does this new installation hae to do anything with upgrading the bios or not?and will it run without overheating even after 5-6 hours of gameplay? Please reply.. Thank you!!

Also I'd be upgrading my ram by ordering it online.. From the same site.. -

http://www.flipkart.com/transcend-ddr2-2-gb-pc-ram-jm667qlu-2g/p/itmd2rypv7sfvds4?pid=RAMD2RYPU2YE2MPX&icmpid=reco_pp_personalhistoryFooter_ram_10_nr

would this ram support my motherboard?.. I m having a Dynet 1GB DDR2 667MHz , i don't know the pin-config. I don't know how to find out..!! Somewhat by looking the specs of my ram and that ram.. I thought this should support.. What do you say?

Also please tell that is transcend a good ram and is it necessary to have same company ram in a pc?

dude .. that linked helped a lot.. :D.. i'd be buying the ram too.. without any problem.. btw.. i'm tight on budget.. so my parents would let me buy the gpu first .. then the ram after 2-3 weeks.. so i'm having resident evil 5 and call of duty 5.. and i'd be playing them till i get my new ram.. those games run very laggy.. just 'cause of gpu.. otherwise.. their min. ram required is 512mb ram.. so would i be able to run these games with current specs and this new gpu???

They will run a lot better and when the new ram comes maybe even a bit more better. ( was that correct English ? Afraid not ) ( it maybe a minimum of 512 mb for those games, often games work better when you have more ram, i even noticed a difference when i went from 4G to 6G )
