This will be a PC is for some gaming, as well as internet browsing, watching videos and doing work. If possible, please tell me better parts for this without increasing the price by any more than $100. Thanks in advance! http://

No, there is some room for improvement. Since you are not overclocking, you don't need a z97 motherboard. Get a h97 motherboard instead, that will save you some money without affecting performance. I would also recommend that you get an i5-4460 cpu instead, better value for money with respect to what you will be using the pc for.

Spend the money saved from the above adjustments on an SSD drive. a SSD reserved for either windows or games (not both on the same drive unless partitioned) will really speed up your system.

Will this cpu be able to run some of the newer games such a gta v?

Dude that pc is pretty op for what you want to do but if your looking at some more hardcore gaming the R9 270 could be upgraded to something like a R9 280 or 280x if you can then that is one solid build right there. No problem with the rest...

Dude, people go on to much about SSD like it`s going to change your entire pc... Like I said it`s fine, dont downgrade if you want to be able to play games like GTA 5 in the future then SSD wont really help you there. You can do that later on. Just go for the better graphics card cause GTA will push a pc hard...

Have you tried gaming with SSD's? Loading times makes it seem like your PC is on cocaine, seriously. If you are recommending that he get a z97 motherboard with a locked CPU which cannot be overclocked instead of an SSD then you must be high.

OP: The i5-4460 will handle everything you throw at for several years to come. There is no point in getting anything more powerful unless you plan on having loads of graphics cards installed at the same time or do some serious editing / 3d modelling.

I do agree with the above post about getting a better graphics card. If you can't afford both, then you could always get an SSD later.

But IF I don't upgrade the graphics but get the i5-4460 and a h97, will i be still able to run gta v on medium settings?

Also, can the i5-4460 can handle a decent amount of video editing (I am doing film-making at school) correct?

With GTA 5, it will be your graphics card that holds you back, not the i5-4460. You could run GTA on Ultra with an i5-4460 if your graphics card is good enough. You should be fine with basic video editing, it's when you start doing animations and 3d modelling that the hardware requirements become serious.

He`s right the i5-4460 is a fine cpu and that your gpu wil be the problem with high end games...

Yeah dude you will probably be able to run it on medium graphics and if your cool with that then go for it... But do you really want only medium??? Search your feelings must you....

You could always get an AMD FX-8320 and spend the money saved on a more powerful graphics card. (keep in mind that you need a different motherboard than the one in your list to do that).

Mmmmm interesting proposition, that could actually be better as a gaming setup and cheaper and the 8320 is really not a bad choice if going AMD, but if your set on Intel just go 4460 and a better card now or in the future....
