Will these parts run BF4 and other intense games on high settings? How long do you think it will be until I have to replace the graphics card and the like?

Well.. wait if you are not overclocking, then 8320 is of not much use to you. 8320 is the best CPU for guys who overclock.

If you are not going to overclock, then go for the i5 instead. Seriously, an unoverclocked 8320 is not a good CPU for gaming. It lacks performance in Single Threaded Applications which matter quite a bit for gaming.

Hence if you are not overclocking then seriously go for something other than the 8320. I would still suggest i5.

If you aren't going to overclock your cpu then that changes things a lot. I'd get a high end i5 instead, and save some money on mobo and cooler. Also, Seasonic is the top manufacturer of PSUs, and modular is a must. Also, grab 1866 ram for the same price.

Forget about the Powercolor 7970. It is at the bottom of GPUs. I won't let my friends buy one. I know the R9 280x is more expensive but the only alternative is a 760 for $250.

I like the 7970, but I wouldn't buy a $260 Powercolor one. I know it's cheap but do you want it to last more than a year?
Also, look at newegg reviews. I don't use newegg reviews to determine a GPU, but pick any other brand and you will see
the overall review scores are much better.

Go for Asus anytime. It is the king when it comes to the Acoustics, the difference between idle and load is just like 10-15 decibels which is amazing. Go for the Asus anytime. It is the current king when it comes to custom coolers.

Asus is now like another word for Quality in the hardware community. Whether it be Motherboards, whether it be Graphics cards, whether it be tablets.. Asus = Quality.

Okay, I confess, I am an Asus fanboy, but there is nothing wrong with being like that. Is it?

@envy14tpe Nice build, no complaints at all. A good build indeed.

Anyways OP, you should try Windows 8.1. It is just like Windows 7 but a bit faster if you ignore all the metro stuff and other bull$#!t features. Other than that, the Windows 8.1 is a very good OS and it is newer so it would have support for longer.

Soon Windows 7 would meet the same fate as Windows XP. So, if possible then go for the Windows 8.1 and ignore the Metro stuff. It would last you longer.

I personally like Windows 8.1 more when compared with Windows 7, but the end choice is yours. You cannot go wrong with either of them.

You're right about Asus being top tier product manufacturer. I would definitely by a Asus GPU or mobo. However, the choice of OS is personal and I didn't like 8.1 and went back to 7. btw, XP is still around for a reason and I'm sure 7 will be the same. I feel like Microsoft makes a good OS every other one.

Yeah, it is personal opinion. Of course.

Anyways on the last point of yours that is "I feel like Microsoft makes a good OS every other one.". I would like to say that Microsoft does not make good OS. The only selling point for the Microsoft OS is that because there are not many games on other platforms notably Linux.

Then there are security problems, Malware, Trojans everything else on Windows. Also it is a bit of resource hog when compared to Apple's OS and Linux.

I am using Linux for a year and I have never had been as happy with Windows as much as I am with Linux. It is an amazing OS. The only thing missing from Linux is gaming, but yes, games are now coming to Linux.

Metro Last Light has already arrived for steam on Linux, Crytek is developing it's gaming engine for OpenGL which Linux uses and the contribution of Valve and Steam OS has been awesome.

As a guy who loves Programming and Hackiing, I love Linux, just because for Programming and hacking, there is nothing as good as Linux.

The only reason why I cannot recommend Linux to anyone is because it lacks in gaming. But that might change soon. Fingers Crossed. Had gaming been good on Linux, I would never have had recommended Windows to anyone.

Yeah I was considering Windows 8, but I used it on my friends computer and I wasn't a huge fan. As has been said, it is personal preference after all. Really though, I can't thank you guys enough for helping me out with this. It's so much easier to learn when someone is actually helping you rather than just reading. I will certainly be coming back to this site if I have any more questions. Again, thank you.

*Edit* Someone said that I will be getting CPU bottlenecking during multiplayer. Is that true? Will it be almost unplayable in multiplayer?
