Question Will this z390 ram work on a z370?

I am about to buy 32gb of Trident Z RGB 3600MHz memory and I have an Asus Maximus X Hero Z370 motherboard. On the amazon page for this ram it says "Trident Z RGB Series, compatible for AMD Ryzen 3000 and X570 Series; Intel Z390 and newer."

Does this mean the ram won't be compatible with my motherboard? Personally I've never looked at ram compatibility, I've just known that my motherboard supports speeds much higher than 3600MHz.

I guess a bonus question would be, with my 8700k cpu, would 3200MHz ram cl16 be faster overall than 3600MHz ram with cl18?

I would put that down to marketing speak. My Trident Z ram has a sticker stating it's for Intel, and I use it for my Ryzen PC. Make of that what you will.
